Competent, friendly staff great vets. The visit on 2/14/24 was to euthanize my loving companion. I have had to put two dogs down at other vets and have not been shown the compassion, professionalism and respect that I did at Hometown. They were superb!

Paul was surprised my 17 year old lab was still alive when I took him in for a checkup, then misdiagnosed him, had him on medication that created bloody ulcers... today I had to say good bye to my best friend of 17 years because of his mistake. When I took my dog to the emergency vet that doctor said Paul was wrong and never should have prescribed those meds. After watching my dog walk like he was drunk and throwing up a black bloody mucus, I will never ever trust Paul again. And if anyone else has an elderly pet, I suggest you take them elsewhere. If I could leave less than one star I would! You killed my dog Paul, hope you can live with yourself

Dr. Jamie is one of the best horse vets in the area, always able to get out in a timely manner and super straight forward and friendly. Receptionists are always friendly!

We had to have our beloved pet Tinks put down. The staff and Dr. Yatso was super nice and caring. It made us more relaxed to know that our dog was in good hands. From the front desk to the medical staff, everyone had compassion for you and your pet. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and care.

We don't go here for regular veterinarian service but we had our dog put down here because it was conveniently in town. It was the first time my wife and I had to do this and it was with our 1st dog so it was really hard to do. The doctor there was really great. They took great care with everything they did and afterwards the vet shook my hand and gave me a hug. That kind act I will always remember. About a week later we got his paw print in the mail with some very kind words from them. That was a very heartwarming gift. Needless to say I very highly recommend them. They are very compassionate people that care greatly for you and your pet.Thank you guys for everything you did for us!!!

The staff and everyone is awesome. They handled and loved up our birds and were extremely kind. BUT.. I brought my cockatiel in for a nail trimming and they were cut too short. I figured I’d give a second chance and brought in my quaker and specifically said not so short. He was in for nails and beak. The nails were cut way too short and the Beak also. He also trimmed the bottom beak which I’ve never heard of unless it’s deformed. I didn’t realize this til my bird yawned. When we got home he wouldn’t eat. I blamed it on the stress of a doctors visit so I mashed peas and carrots and mixed with vitamins and he ate. The next day he wouldn’t eat seed again so again fed him like a baby bird. I tried millet and he couldn’t hold the seeds, they fell out. So his bottom beak is messed up til it grows out. I’ve been feeding him baby food mixed with baby cereal, vitamins and calcium. Not sure how long this will go on til he can eat normal again. Luckily I’m self employed and can leave work regularly to feed him. Excellent vets for cats dogs and other critters, but definitely not qualified as an avian vet. Pray for my Paulie that his beak grows fast and he can eat and play normal again soon

My dog was scheduled for an X-ray at 11:00am a couple weeks ago to see how many puppies she was having. Finally at 11:20, as I was sitting in the lobby with my infant and dog, that was interested in the other animals, I asked the woman at the front desk if I would be seen any time soon. She expressed that they were busy and I could reschedule if I wanted (after I had made the trip 30 miles to Oconto Falls). They took my dog back, snapped an X-ray, and told me they would call me with the results. We are only having one litter with my dog, imagine how excited I was going into this appointment and my disappointment as I was about to leave without an answer or being able to consult a vet about the whelping process. I asked them if there was any way I could have the number of puppies before I left, the woman went back to the vet and came out and told me there was 5. Fast forward to having the puppies and my dog actually had 7, now I know there are no guarantees in getting this number correct, but please tell me, what did I pay for that day? I did not take up time or cleanup in a patient room, I didn’t not take up more than even 5 minutes of the vet and vet techs time, X-rays are not on film anymore so no expense to them there.. The bottom line is that I got an X-ray to ensure that my dog was safe during the whelping process and I knew how many puppies to expect, I did not get that from them and I have no idea what my money went to that day.

I took kitten there for shots nothing wrong with him before we went was about 16 weeks old I believe. Went for sooo between second or booster shots or even during his neutering visit he got ringworm ☹️ I count back and it was with in the days he went for an appointment. Which passed it on to his sister cat sooo now we are dealing 2 cats with that and trying to keep them quarantined in a 3 bedroom house with 6 of us and cleaning but making sure they are comfortable being confined… ? for 5 weeks or so. I can not prove they got it from vet but, they were house cats with no problems before going to that vet. Just so frustrating
