The staff take excellent care of the animals. They are always looking for ways to enrich animal lives until a forever home is found. No animal has a "time limit" there....they keep all animals until a good home is found.

Staff is friendly, nice, and helpful. Just purchased two kittens and we love them already. They don't always answer the phone as they are busy. Just be sure to leave a message and they will call you right back!

The Oconto Area Humane Society & Animal Shelter, Inc. is a 501[c]3 open-admission shelter dedicated to providing protection, care and shelter for abandoned and homeless companion animals.
We appreciate and applaud those who choose to save a life and adopt a pet! Rescuing a pet can be a very rewarding experience and OAHS Staff is here to help!
The cost to house one animal awaiting adoption in our shelter ranges between $150-$250 for everything from medications to litter and grooming. We receive no local, state or federal funding therefore rely upon the generosity of the community for donations. We thank all of our volunteers and donors. We simply could not do it without you!
