The produce here is bad. Visible mold, wilted and browning. This location has never had great produce, but this is the third consecutive time I've been and skipped purchasing veggies and fruits there. I usually only go to this location when I need minimal items since it's close; the prices aren't worth it, either.

Awful produce, very high prices. I only go when I'm desperate as it is close. Went today for basil, but theirs was all moldy on the bottom. The cherries were swarmed with fruit flies and the salad greens were pretty sad. I needed protein bars, but they were $4 more than Target. They don't carry my favorite chips or pizza or ice cream or cereal, so no incentive to go back. Employees were nice, that's about it.

Since taking ownership from Bill's, I have taken 90% of my business elsewhere. They added things that don't need to be in grocery stores and stopped carrying brands I like. Bill's prices were reasonable. Hi-Vee acts like you're saving money, but in reality, you're paying more. They also have stopped carrying smaller sizes, so 1 and 2 person households run the risk of having food go bad before using it all, or not shopping there.

Oregon location is not a great representation of the company, unfortunately. I normally love Hy-Vee, even catered wedding food and flowers through them in Iowa. The Oregon location is frustrating, so much so that I spoke to a produce employee the other day expressing my frustration with the lack of displayed prices for several items and moldy strawberries, etc. When paying a fair amount more than at Aldi, I have higher expectations. Not a good organic selection too.
Some carryover employees from Bill's, I won't single out people, are not friendly..more indifferent. I now only go to this store if I need one or two items for convenience. Prices can be pretty outrageous too depending on the item.
