I used to bring my dogs and cats when it was a small business with dr Peterson and the other vets. My brother recommended them to me and my mom and she took her dogs there until she died. I tried to make an appointment to take my cat in and the receptionist who is a man was snotty and very nasty with me and said they don’t take any new clients. I wasn’t a new client and he hung up on me. Is that a good way to treat a customer I don’t think so. what a shame used to be such a wonderful place.

Brought my family’s dog here (Sathi) for rabies exams with three different vets (DVMs). The doctors were very knowledgeable and helpful. The patient care is coordinated. There was no complex procedure done, just observation for signs of limping and excess salivation.

A truly WONDERFUL local vet. Great service, amazing attention to our dogs and a staff that truly seems to care about the pets. I wouldn't recommend another veterinarian in the area.

If I could give it zero stars I would. They don't care if your pet is dying, they are rude and lack compassion. I had been going here for years. Several weeks ago my 20 year old cat's health took a turn where it seemed his end was near. I called the clinic to get some guidance. The receptionist was cold and rude and said no one could talk to me unless I brought my cat in to get him up to date on shots and do a blood panel on him. I wasn't going to do that to him in his state and the receptionist said she didn't care if my cat is dying he needs to get shots. (My last visit with the vet said to keep him comfortable in his old age and no need to bring him in unless his health took a turn.) It was very upsetting to see my cat so sick and not get guidance when I was afraid to let him go. Luckily I was found the most gentle and compassionate care at Verona Animal Hospital. They took my cat in and said they would never require things just for an assessment. They offered great support, were gentle and treated my cat with dignity in the end. They helped saying goodbye much easier. Oregon Vet Clinic should be ashamed of themselves and looking at other reviews it looks like I'm not the only one to be treated this way. Don't be jerks to patients who are on their deathbed.

We've used this vet for years and are always impressed by their professionalism and the care they take within animals.

These Vets have turned extremely arrogant, they clearly make too much money since they do not care about your pet or what you say as their parent. My dog was misdiagnosed for a year even with us telling them exactly what, when and where it started. If Dr. Jim Stevenson would have listened to us then his foot could have been drained and fixed, instead he suffered for a year and was told it was a cyst and refused to look further even though we said we don't care what it takes or costs, i would go bankrupt for my dog and he said you can go somewhere else. Well we did and thousands and thousands of dollars later and 2 months of VET appointments elsewhere he will have casts on two of his paws and being going weekly to the VET to be rebandaged. So pretty much PET MURDERS without even caring. We worked with Dr. Molly his wife for the first 6 months of this and she was great, her husband was awful to work with. BBB is actually being contacted and suing for malpractice is not out of the question after seeing the other reviews of not caring as well and turning hurt and sick animals away. You should be ashamed of yourselves and your own pets taken away from you.Used to be an amazing VET, has gotten too large and egos are taken over!!!

It has been a year since my beloved Rockstar has passed. Dr Jim Stephenson had been his primary provider including others on a short notice visit. I had never been judged as Rockstar was an indoor/outdoor kitty and the challenges and mishaps that come with that. Dr. Jim was able to be there for Rockstar in the end and I was so touched by the card sent and donation made in his name. I will, and have taken all my kitties here for their care. This is the quintessential small town veterinary clinic and I love all of you! Thank you so much for all you do! xxooxx

We've just laid our third dog in 20+ years to rest here at this Veterinary clinic...Jersey, Dakota, and now Thunder. Anyone who has been through this understands the pain associated with losing a beloved canine member of the family as well as the importance of working with veterinary staff who are kind and sensitive. OVC goes above and beyond for their human and furry clients at all stages of their lives. We have put our trust in this facility with all of our cats and dogs and will continue to do so as long as we live in Dane County.***Nobody who loves their pets wants to think about the end of their lives, but all pet owners know that the time comes for all of us. Years ago, when it came time for Jersey and Dakota, my kids were young, and I went by myself. Care, time, and discretion were given by staff for me to say my final farewell to my beloved companions.*****This time around, two of my kids (14 and 23) were home and wanted to come along to say their last goodbyes (our other kid regretfully could not return as she is off at college) to Thunder. They took us to a back room that was big enough for the four of us to say farewell to our old dog. It was complete with sofas and a soft blanket for Thunder, who was having trouble standing. While we had already treated our old boy with bacon, chicken, and a piece of cheeseburger earlier in the day in reluctant anticipation of his final moments...the Vet staff gave us some more Pro-plan treats to give him before the sedation was administered.Obviously this experience was hard on us, it was hard on the kids, and most certainly on our dogs (Skye and Ara didn't know where their buddy went)...but OVC made it as pain-free as possible and I can't say enough about the professionalism, kindness, and understanding that seems so rare these days in other businesses where so much less is hoped for and expected. They are really the best that a family could hope for in terms of the care administered to their pets from puppies and kittens and through all stages of their adult dog and cat lives.*******Goodbye Thunder!!! We love you old man

Until we switched to Oregon Vet Clinic, my dog was TERRIFIED of going to the vet. His old vet would ask us to bring our other dog as emotional support for him. Fast forward to us switching. He LOVES going. We don't have to drag or carry him into the exam room. And this year, his allergies have caused him to be a frequent flier. They are so wonderful and easy to work with. Their entire staff are amazing!

Nice people but they did over charge me for a cremation. Didn't believe me when I said weight was like 2lbs so charged me for 3 to 15 weight. Ended up being 2.5 or so pounds but didn't adjust the price. Other then that they are ok.

I had brought my husky to OVC regularly since 2014. She had 2 ACL repairs there. And yet, at the end of her life they had no time to see her. I took her to VCA where she was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. I was supposed to see my regular vet for follow up. The only way I could get in to see a vet at OVC was to say that I wanted euthanasia. Then they gave me an appointment. When I came, Dr. Orvick said that she could be treated for the pneumonia. They gave me antibiotics and sent us home. No follow up was ever scheduled. I will never go back yo this clinic. They are understaffed and focused on young, easy to care for pets. Do not go there if you have an older sick pet.
