The Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway offers a delightful fall colors train ride along the border of Wisconsin and Minnesota. The experience begins with some challenges, as parking can be difficult, but once on board, the journey proves to be a fantastic trip back in time. The train features a comfortable dining car with charming old advertisements and lighting fixtures, as well as a spacious (albeit a bit wobbly) bathroom. Passengers can also explore the middle car, where they can purchase gifts and snacks. The staff is a mix, with some volunteers enthusiastically sharing their knowledge of the area's history, while others seem less engaged. Despite the mixed staff, the overall experience is highly recommended. Reviewers praise the amazing views, the freedom for children to explore the train, and the opportunity to see historical artifacts like the mail car. The fall colors trip is a particular favorite, with visitors eager to return year after year. While the gift shop at the depot may disappoint, the train ride itself is a unique and enjoyable experience. Guests are advised to arrive early, bring snacks, and be prepared for a bit of walking, but the charm of the vintage train and the friendly staff make the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway a delightful destination for families and train enthusiasts alike.
We were there for the Pumpkin Express and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back for more train fun.

The train ride was very nice and we enjoyed the stop on Osceola. They had a petting zoo, venders, food trucks, and pumpkins for the kids. The fall colors were were turning. The train staff was very friendly and helpful.
