We needed an ADA room with a few accomodations & they did the absolute best they could for our multiple stays over the 3 months of switching ownership & construction. Convenient to many downtown shops, & the convention center I was utilizing. The only thing better would have been much later check out since my meetings ran past 4 pm & the local parks don't have bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, they're in high demand & you'll want to book your stay over 2 months in advanced!Rooms: Clean, decent repair/maintenance, rooms. ADA rooms have handle grip bars, shower bench, wider accessing areas between walls & furniture, easier to reach thermostats that the front desk can happily assist you with setting to a more comfortable temperature. Most windows open slightly but not enough to risk most climbing aged child falling out. River side has an excellent view, but from all sides have great views.Nearby activities: There's many small shops with reasonable prices & Aircraft Measum in area plus a store/aquarium combo (purchase a small sum in goods to see the animals because unlike traditional aquariums you can buy water critters from exhibits & thus get no government assistance in maintaining the facilities, but to pet living creatures is well worth it & loved ones love souvenir gifts! There are many parks in the area, but only 1 has a bathroom in a very inconvenient area when you have a ADA needing family. Many of my business associates would arrive extra early & do quite a bit of shopping prior, acquiring things at half or a quarter compared to the costs local to them just an hours drive away; they were excellent deals even for our family as we live almost on the Minnesota border.Safety: If you pay attention you'll see most of the motel/conversation center is updated frequently & maintained well. Police patrol the area at a reasonable rate for a downtown metropolitan area & if a pedestrian acts out of the norm they'll inquire what's going on rather than assuming they're doing something wrong. All exit doors lock at 11 including those between parking garage to hotel & conversation center to hotel, needing a room key to go between if the door is not propped open. My very anxious phobia ridden family felt safe in the room, & not horribly stressed in the main parts of the hotel. This speaks volumes to the safety precautions & maintenance of the building plus care of staff to quietly patrol, making the hotel safe for elders, children, & the disabled.Walkability: Main parts of hotel have enough space for 2-3 wheelchairs side by side at the most narrow, & most of it offers ramps or elevators with flat level floors & a tight knit burber all weather in/out doors carpet for sound dampening, extra walking/wheeling grip, but there are some areas with hard floors & rug/mats that are designed to not easily roll/bunch causing tripping hazards. I imagine they plow/sand & salt frequently in winter but we didn't attend during snow season given 2023 has had a warmer winter.Food & drinks: There are over priced accommodations in the room, a dinner that was open for all 3 meals in September, but only breakfast in October & November. Nearby there are several shops, dinners, cafes, etc & delivery services can bring you meals, the hotel provided a popular used list. A short drive/extended walk away there are more name brand location & even department stores like Walmart. I personally couldn't walk to the Walmart but have friends that have gone that far & back easily.Noteworthy details: The staff went above & beyond standard hotel expectations to accommodate both our meeting party & as individual guests for our rooms. It was the kind of service you can't buy & rarely see in this country. I'd give the night staff & convention staff 7-10 out of 5 stars for most of wh

I travel around the United States for work. From day one at this hotel I had nothing but problems with the first shift manager. The hotel double an triple charged my card to where it was declined.the first 3 days I was here their was no wifi from the 4th floor and up. I don't honestly understand why a business as such would conduct business in a way like this. If u ask me kinda gives the city if Oshkosh a bad image. Other then that the view from the hotel was superb, comfy room. And the worker's were very nice an understanding!

Beds are comfortable. Clean buy outdated rooms. Could use pillows. Excellent customer service, staff addressed concerns in a timely manner. The Ground Round restaurant is just ok, better options within walking distance. Great location for walking downtown Oshkosh, driving to Appleton or Fon du Lac. We had a nice view from our room. Free on-site parking. Free coffee, shampoo/soap ( just really little ones). In room small fridge. Wifi works great. All in all a good hotel to stay at.Nearby activities: Farmers market in the summer/fall on Saturdays just steps away. Good coffee shops, go to New Moon and get a coffee and sandwich. Go to Caramel Crisp for cookies snd popcorn. Wagners is a cute local butcher/specialty shop. There is a good wine bar as well but the name is escaping, starts with a G. Nice walk along the river, there are some homeless that hang out by the bridge. They didn't bother us but just be aware.

Using Best Western to cater our wedding was easily the best decision we made. Anna and her team were AMAZING. The whole process from tasting to dinner at the reception was so easy. We did plated meals and I wanted the mac and cheese we had at a friend's wedding in 2021 and she made it happen. She is always super fast to respond which is exactly what you want in wedding caterer. I absolutely recommend!

Made a reservation 2 months before for a set price of $159.99/ night for 2 nights. When we got there we was charge a total of $474.28. We were charged parking fee, sales tax, and room board tax. The room felt like Quality Inn’s room. I would rather spent my time and money at Quality Inn for half the price without all those taxes and fees. For that price I expected the room to be more luxury and top notch. The prices for this hotel is definitely not worth it !

Pool is open till 2am!!!! Love Love love that!!!! Pool was very cold. But loved the Jacuzzi. Staff was very friendly. Lots of parking available. Location right on the Riverwalk was beautiful. However for the price, breakfast should be included.Rooms: Beds were comfortable, views of the river from the room, a bit outdated. Bathroom door was scratched and damaged at the bottom.Nearby activities: Bars, live entertainment, clubs right down the street or across the river.Safety: The hotel has security walking around all over. We felt very safe.

There are no words to describe how great it was working with Anna and her team at the Best Western. Anna answered all of my many questions during the planning process and took the time to meet with us several times to ensure all the details were covered. Anna and her team made sure that our day went off without a hitch and because of them, our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. She even helped set up all of our decorations when we couldn’t get into the venue to set it up ourselves! We are so thankful for all their help in giving us the day of our dreams.

Spent 2 nights for my brother/sister in laws wedding. Great rooms, great location! Now to the downfall. Blocked rooms were guaranteed at a set price, depending on the room. Awesome, that works great! Nope…instead of the $139.99/night, we are gonna charge you $219.99/night. Now I sit here after numerous phone calls from multiple people in our block, with no credit. They have also stated that “I have been refunded”. Telling me that I should have seen credits (which are less than what I should be receiving). All in all, just frustrating. Definitely puts a damper on the whole reason why I’m there in the first place.

On March 11th, our family of five booked a king riverview fireplace suite for an upcoming December wedding. We were called in July and informed that the hotel will be undergoing construction and they will have no suites at that time; as entire floors of the hotel will be down. They assured me they had a standard double-bed room that we could book for the wedding block rate. I asked if there were two adjoining rooms because we wouldn't fit well into a standard. The hotel suggested that we should be happy that we're being notified so early and that we can have the standard room, or find other accommodations. This is the wedding hotel. We can't exactly stay out at the Hilton Garden and still be involved. So, we took the only available room and we'll update the review as we proceed. If you have an upcoming stay, or are considering booking, I suggest you consider the inconvenience and noise of construction as this property becomes a Marriott. I'm sure it will be nice in the future, but the transition will be painful.

Nice, clean rooms. No free breakfast, basically a sack breakfast for a fee. The Ground Round restaurant is inside the hotel. Good food. Arcade and slots in restaurant. Parking garage (free).

This was our first year to hold a 5-day professional conference in Oshkosh and it was amazing. We always had personnel available to assist with food, convention center facility changes, and even hotel room questions. I would highly recommend this facility to any business who is looking for a facility to hold a conference at. The food was great, the service in the banquet hall was amazing and we always had a "face" available all day long and into the evenings. The GM David would stop in and check on us as well as daily visits from the Director of Sales, Christy. We are back there next year and look forward to a wonderful working relationship.
