This is a great hometown auto care place. They have a very good attitude and were kind to everyone I saw. They take the time to explain things to their customers. I was only there to get a plug for my tire, but they squeezed me in during their busy day. It is a small shop with only about 5 chairs in their waiting area. I would suggest them to a friend.

I’m very pleased with the communication, service, and outcome from Jake and team. Had my car fixed and back to me faster than I thought they would. Happy to recommend and use for my future auto care!

Being new to the area, I knew my car needed brakes and an oil change. Dealerships are always more expensive in theory, so I did a Google Search and found Lake Country Auto Care. The reviews were good so I thought I'd give them a chance. I was not disappointed! Repairs were done in a timely manner and there was no upsell pressure. I will be back for my auto needs and highly recommend. Only reason only 4 stars is because they close at 4:00 pm making it difficult to pick up the vehicle.Services: Brakes

Went in for an emissions test. In and out in less than 15 minutes with the car waiting for me at the door with new sticker on the plate and paperwork on my passenger seat. Great service! I wish I could have tipped because I don’t think they get anything for providing this service. Thank you!

Thursday, June 29th, 9:00AM.Came in with my dad, and the girl at the front desk immediately gave us judgmental looks / attitude as if we were a bother / didn’t belong. So much so, her facial expressions every time she spoke were very evident. She gave fast responses, followed by a condescending tone. Not sure what she went through that morning, but regardless there’s no excuse to rude customer service.

Made an appointment for an oil change and emissions test on Wednesday June 14. Oil change, I thought was expensive ($85). When I asked for a copy of the results of the emissions test, the girl told me "it's not needed since we submit them electronically." The next day (June 15) I attempted to renew my vehicle registration online and couldn't because I was told I needed an emissions test.Called Lake Country and the girl said "our system was down for a couple hours yesterday and we couldn't submit the results". I had to make another trip in for another emissions test and this time I DID receive a hard copy of the results.Mr. Owner: If your system was down for a "couple hours", why didn't you re-submit the results later in the day when you were again connected? This was our first time trying Lake Country because it was convenient for us and the many good reviews. Sorry, but given your inefficiency here, we don't concur. You know, from a customer relations standpoint you could have provided a discount coupon or a $10 gift card on our next visit because of your screw up. That never happened. We will continue to shop for a dependable auto service shop.Services: Auto emissions testing

The hours posted online said they were open 7-4 Mon-Fri (photo posted). I left my car there on Friday morning (6/9/23) and got a call a few hours later on my way to work that my car was ready. I asked if I could have my mom and sister pick it up, and they said it was okay (they knew someone was coming for it). They arrived several minutes before 3:00pm and found the doors locked. At 2:59pm, my mom called (photo posted), trying to get ahold of anyone inside and no one answered. I had to go without my car all weekend (I work weekends) and they had to waste time and gas driving out there and back for nothing. On Monday, they admitted the closing time posted online was incorrect and had been for years but wouldn't take anything off the price for compensation, even though it was clearly their fault. I was told they were open right up to 3:00pm, even though my mom and sister arrived before 3:00 and the place was empty. Bad customer service, incorrect information posted for years, lack of responsibility, and presumably closing early when you know someone's coming to pick up a car and lying about it. The work was done quickly, I'll say that.

This place is the best mechanic, hands down! They are honest, hard working, and friendly. They always are willing to squeeze me in and give me advice that I can trust. They go above and beyond. I can’t recommend them enough!

My daughter's transmission began to fail. She has used this shop for minor repairs in the past. They recommended replacement and gave her 2 options. Based on the positive reviews over the years on this shop, we trusted them with the job. The work was done in a timely manner and at the estimate provided. A 3 year warranty came with the transmission, which was attractive to us too.

This is the mechanic you thank the heavens you found and you keep forever. Friendly, quick, thorough, very competent, and, most importantly, Honest. I feel like my family vehicles are in expert hands when I drop them off here. Everyone is super nice. They have been taking care of two of our vehicles for about 5 years now. From the most routine oil change and tire installation to belts and window motors and brake repair and replacement... it's all done fast and with care. Prices are always on the low side of the area average. Zero pressure or annoying upselling. Just a trustworthy and highly recommended family owned mechanic!!!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

After a terrible experience with Tires Plus we ended up here for an alignment and we are so happy that we did! An honest and helpful local business that took care of our teen driver without trying to take advantage of him. Lake Country Auto Care will be our new go to shop!Service: Wheel alignment

I live five hours from Pewaukee. My daughter called and her car wouldn't start . I called Lake County and had it towed there. They were courteous and repaired in a timely manner. When the called me with estimate I didnt see itemized bill till daughter picked up car. I called them today and asked if there could be some kind of mistake. The charge just for the starter was 427.00 . I looked online at very parts store in pewaukee. There are no remanufactured starters That cost any where near this. I tried to be nice about it and ask if a mistake on price. There answer is they charge list price for parts and make profit on parts. When they called back i was told they make 30 percent profit off parts. That would mean they paid parts store 300 buck roughly for a rebuilt starter. Napa has new ones for 308.00. While I appreciate there fast service and help when my daughter was stranded. I cannot recommend this shop.Towing was reasonable at 115.00 and fast. Thanks Webers . Labor was reasonable. Service was great, but bye my best searching online at parts store for Denso ramanufactered starter , They had to of charged close to three times what the starter actually cost them. I cannot recommend this shop. I Had called webers towing myself. I cant say enough good about Webers. They billed me for the tow direct as I called them and they delivered car to Lake Country as I asked. After talking about overinflated price of starter I looked at credit card transactions online. Tow was billed through webers at 138.00. But Lake Country charged me 115.00 on repair bill for a tow they had nothing to do with. I called and the told me Webers had billed them for the tow call Webers... So I called Webers and told them who I was. Oh yea I remember. I said did you bill Lake Country auto for that tow? Absolutely not, he said I billed you. Webers said I will call Lake Country and take care of it. After he called I was refunded the 115.00 tow fee from Lake Country. Sorry to say I do not trust Lake Country. What a rip off charge for labor then charge two to three times what the part actually cost them! Im from the country. This doesnt happen where I come from. Never again..

My daughters Honda civic broke down at a gas station in Pewaukee. She is alone and very upset. I looked online for a repair shop and called Lake Country. They said the could do repair so I called Webers Towing to get the car and take there. I am unfamiliar with the area. I trust people. Webers quoted me for towing estimate and charges ten bucks less Awesome service. Lake Country called me next day promptly and said yes your correct it needs a starter. OK fine do it quoted me 747.00 with tax etc. Called after noon done in short time . Very good again. I did not question itemized charges. So I paid via credit for my daughter. They left itemized recipe in car. I look at receipt and see they charged me 457.00 just for a remanufactured starter. Im like gotta be a mistake so i called and asked them. My answer we charge list price for parts we make money on them too. OH I would think labor would be good like every where i ever felt with. I said I looked at Pewaukee parts stores and most expensive price I found even for a new starter was 309.00 and this one is rebuilt. So there it is i got took. Hung up phone nothing i can do. Then looking over reciept they billed me 115.00 for towing that I was already billed for bye Webers. I call back owner says we work with Webers. I said But called for the tow and paid for it already you had nothing to do with it. He told me call Webers they billed me. So I called Webers they were very kind. Told them who I was. He said yep white Honda civic at the Gulf Station towed too Country auto for you. I said I saw on credit statement you billed me for tow but did you bill Country Auto too/ He said absolutely not! I said well they say you did? He said worry not i will call them. Webers called and later Lake Country called and refunded the double tow charge. Beware of this shop. If Money is no object they are fast and courteous, until you question there inflated charges. Not a honest shop in my opinion!
