Menards is a large store where customers can find just about anything for their home, garden, camping, or building projects, often saving money. The store is noted for having a wide selection of materials. Many reviews describe the staff as very nice, helpful, and cool, with one instance of the team opening early during a flood to assist customers. However, experiences with management can be disappointing, including reports of a manager not personally addressing a customer's concerns. A significant point of criticism is the store's 11% rebate program, which several customers call a scam because the rebate must be used as store credit, leading some to believe prices are raised to compensate. The policy of accepting returns, such as for a broken toilet seat or a cracked product, is noted as straightforward. While the store is praised for its variety and helpful people, the rebate system and occasional issues with product quality or management responses are consistent drawbacks mentioned by reviewers.
One of the nicer Menards around, I can't stand their rebate program. I just wish there was lower prices to begin with. We will be taking back a broken toilet seat next time we are there.

Menards, had the product I wanted and the staff to help me. There 11% rebate is a scam because you must use your rebate as a store credit. If they raise the price 11% and you use there store credit, guess what, they win.

Bought a basement window. I should of looked closer because when I got it home I found a crack in the vinyl box enclosure. However, they will take it back with no problem. Unfortunately, it was the last one in stock.
