So disappointed in these stores anymore. Have someone figure out pricing for untagged items. “No tag no sale”? Can’t be that difficult.. These places get everything for free and turn away little kids on a regular basis that have a toy picked out without a tag. Saw this happen with a little girl and her pink tricycle picked out and then with my son being denied a toy. I felt so bad for them! Like come on it’s getting a little greedy and pathetic when we’re trying to support these locations that are handed free items. FREE. That are half the time heavily used, worn, stained and extremely over priced. I can get these things new at less or comparable prices these days. These items that we all donate constantly and can’t just get the item our kids picked out a quick decent price? And to see these reviewed commented back to pick from daily discounted items to get the deals, well, I’ve witnessed employees walking around switching out colored tagged items to store away and replace with non discounted colored tags. This is supposed to be a good place to go and support and get a good deal when we can’t afford brand new. I’m fed up. I’ll be taking my items to donate elsewhere for people in need.

People donate there stuff, and get a good feeling about it. Prices are high, because people come in and snap up the goods and resell it on E bay for profit. Everyone is making money, except the people who need the lower price DONATIONS!

I've been coming here for years & come quite often. I never really thought to write a review for St. Vincent until my visit yesterday. There was an employee that was just SOOO RUDE! I was looking through clothes & she came over and totally pushed them all back at me so she could hang something up. She didn't say excuse me or look at me. I glanced at her a few minutes later and she just made such a rude face. I thought it was very unprofessional. Another thing that I've seen is very stained clothes priced high. There was a men's polo with hugeeeee yellow stains on it & it was still priced absurdly high. The prices have got up tremendously which is very disappointing.

As someone who used to frequent thrift stores all over the Chicago area, I can confidently say this St. Vincent DePaul location is hands down the best one I’ve ever been to. I always leave with something! Their clothing section is incredible—I’ve found huge name brands in excellent condition, unique vintage pieces, and even designer items. The furniture selection is just as amazing, with quality pieces at great prices. They truly have something for everyone, even kids. Whether you’re a seasoned thrifter or just starting out, this place is a gem!

St.Vincents are cleaner and more organized than other thrift stores. You can find many treasures and practical items however their prices have gone up in recent years which is a shame since we go there for the discount. You can however shop on their special discount days which helps.

This is a nice store. It's pretty messy on the shelves and hard to look through. I have found some good bargains.
