“We have had great experiences with all the staff at North Lake but particularly Dr. Hamm. Our almost 13 year old dog has been going through a lot of health issues lately and she has been so great with communication with test results and suggestions for changes to his meds/health plan. “The only thing bad about this place is some of the pricing. $2300 to clean my cats teeth and perform a few extractions on infected teeth and $35.00 for a nail trim on my dog.
The vet that I see is very nice, she doesn't push unnecessary vaccines. and is understanding of my holistic approach to caring for my pets even though she's not a holistic vet.
Apparently they were busy in clinic today. I dropped my cat off for bloodwork at 7:30am and didn't get him back until 4pm. When I called for an update I sat on hold for 20 minutes. Ridiculous hold time!”
“The entire staff at Family Pet Clinic in Menomonee Falls are absolutely amazing. They are extremely caring and gentle with our dog Missy. They answer all of our questions and help make changes that will be helpful to make her a much healthier dog.

“I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.”
“We have been going to Animal Medical Center for about 5 years now. Both Dr. Amy and Dr. Andi are absolutely wonderful, kind and I have the utmost confidence that they have my pets' best interest in mind.

“This has been my main vet for a while, but recently I had a GI stasis scare with my bunny and their team was able to get me in within hours of my call. Everyone there was extremely empathetic when working with me on payment while having my bunnies health first priority. They also did follow-up check in calls and were able to get me critical care feed for free with my buns meds same day.
Highly recommend this vet for any bun parents looking around, they'll be in great hands here :-)”
“Great staff and fantastic communication all-around. I brought my reactive rescue here. Dr. Patchett was so careful in examining her and provided really good advice and tips to help my dog. I also really like that when I bring my dog in, I call first to make sure waiting room is clear. I dont know why more vets dont do this--it reduces one more stressor from the visit. I clipped my (very skittish) dog's nails for the first time with Dr. Patchett's clear directions and right medications. Really happy I found this practice.”

“Dr. Good and Dr. Kreuger are amazing! The staff is just as wonderful!! We have been taking care of our senior Shih tzu for the last month with the watchful eye of Dr. K. She was dutifully returning every call we had when our girl was getting worse. Today we took our 17 year old baby for the last time and put her down. We have been dog owners for 45 years and this clinic made us feel so comfortable during this terrible time. If you are looking for compassion at fair prices...this place is the best.”

“The vets here are knowledgeable. I gave 5 stars since they are experienced and know what they are doing. I would not describe them as compassionate. One thing to remember, I know you see a lot of cats in a given week and it seems to be the same thing daily to you. However, to a pet owner this is likely the first time experiencing this when this could be your 100th...please always remember this ❤️. There is also one particular lady who works at the desk who is not very nice. I am not sure if it's in malice but go where you don't have to work with people....seriously. The rest of the ladies are wonderful.”

“Dr. Christina Betchner is compassionate, supremely competent, and willing to spend however long it takes to determine what is wrong with your pet and to recommend treatment. We recently had a frightening experience with our dog who had developed a massive tumor. Dr. Betchner thoroughly explained all possibilities. WVRC performed surgery to remove the tumor and spleen. Our dog has recovered nicely the past month. Dr. Betchner spent a long, long time removing surgical staples from our dog's chest and stomach. It was difficult for her, and our dog. She has repeatedly called to check on our dog's recovery. Terrific vet.”
“Our dog in the past has always seen Dr. Wertz who has been incredible. I would highly recommend him to others. Our recent visits were with Dr. Emily Weaver and Jena, have not been up to the usual standards. We never received a follow up call as stated regarding the next steps of care. Per Bluemound Animal Hospital they are experiencing a major staffing shortage which is causing longer hold times on the phone and an average of 15-30 minute wait for appointments. Hopefully their team is able to find new staff members to improve the client experience.”

“We awoke to our (extremely) food aggressive 3 year old cat not eating. It was a Sunday morning, so I called what Google said was WVRC, but got Westown Vet Clinic instead. It was 8:30am, & Westown was able to make give us a 10:30am appointment, so I took it.
I was impressed with the staff- they took us to a room quickly, & everything was immaculately clean & well lit. The vet was running a bit late due to another cat emergency, & they apologized profusely.
The vet examined & diagnosed our cat. We really appreciated that he was able to fix our feline with an injection & some take home meds. He said that he could do an X ray & bloodwork, but didn’t think it was necessary at this point. We’re grateful that he didn’t oversell us on expensive add-ons. Even my husband thought that the bill was reasonable.
I’ve also had great experiences at WVRC (esp on the weekends), & in the future for urgent (non-emergency) services, I’d make an appointment with Westown Vet Clinic, as they were able to offer me an appointment time, as opposed to just triaging every patient that arrived.”

Dr. Augustin is equally amazing. She is fully engaged in every appointment, clearly invested in my pets’ health, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell she loves her job and genuinely cares about giving pets the highest standard of care. I always leave feeling confident that my cats are in expert hands.
