Beautiful location across from the lake. Rooms are in dire need of updating. Someone was put into the room above us and it sounded as if they were going to come in through the ceiling! Very frustrating when trying to relax and wind down, especially when there were other rooms available. It's my understanding that there are new owners and that changes and updates are going to be made, but they really need to stay in the rooms themselves to understand just how loud it is - and somehow insulate that ceiling! Also, the weather was perfect to have the windows open, but we couldn't open the sliding glass door because the screen had holes in it and the bugs were coming in.

Under new ownership!
We stayed the weekend the new owners took over and we were highly impressed by them!
Great continental breakfast, cozy rooms and a cute patio area. The new owners are friendly and hospitable. We would love to see what they are able to do with the already cozy place. Will definitely stay again!

The rooms are clean but older kinda what you'd expect up north and you have a patio. They have breakfast daily, the owner is super cool guy!

Building is under new management. While the property needs minor repairs the staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean. Every room has a lake view and private balcony / patio. Will visit again and looking forward to the improvements.

Stayed here last night under the new management and was very impressed. Everything in the room felt new and spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful great experience overall!

New management is very friendly. Very clean and quiet motel! Has a great view of the lake and a very good sized deck. Can't wait to stay again when we are back in town! Would highly recommend stopping by Loggers pizza during your stay!

Really enjoyed our stay here! Pet friendly with no additional fee. Great lake views and close to everything in Phillips! Owner was incredibly nice, would come back!

We were given One price when we made the reservations when we went to check out the bill was higher. I asked the lady at the desk why my bill was higher than the price we were quoted she said the owner increased the price $10 each night over the weekend. I said that is not right or the amount I was quoted I was not paying the extra 20 some dollars. She removed it from my bill. She did charge my daughter-in-law the $10 extra a night. I spoke with the owner after his mother who works at the hotel told me I needed to get my facts straight about the prices before I talk to her. Which my facts were straight she was overcharged $22. The owner proceeded to tell me he was not refunding the money that his mother was not correct it was for tax. I said the price we were quoted was $105 with tax he flat out said I'm not refunding the money. He also was very rude to me I told him that we were going to another motel from now on in the future and he hung up the phone on me. I will never be coming back to this hotel which had our business for years. And yes it does need to be updated paint is all over cracks I don't believe that they clean sometimes the room is dirty. If you're looking for a mediocre Hotel this is it otherwise at this time Super 8 down the road is the same price because the timber in increase their prices to meet the same price as the Super 8 we will be going to the Super

We have stayed here a few time and I'm 100% sure we'll be back. Always friendly, hospitable and accommodating.
I get to have my dog and a hot shower. Honestly that's all I need but the WiFi TV microwave refrigerator and work space is a plus. I feel safe here. The front desk always picks up. We're in the middle of everything you'd ever need with a great view. Highly recommend.
Rooms: If you're coming up north looking for a Wis dells experience this is not the place. This is exactly what you need. Clean warm place to lay your head, a hot shower TV to unwind and Wi-Fi to look up your next move.
Nearby activities: You're literally in the middle of everything. Longest drive I took was 25-30 mins to the next town it was neat but didn't have as much as this one.
Safety: I can see my car. I have a few different locks on all the doors.
I get to have my dog, front desk always answers. We're in the middle of town just incase of an emergency.
Food & drinks: Maybe a 10 minute walk to downtown depending on how long your legs are. If you have to much to drink no need to waste money on an Uber.

Wow. After reading other reviews, I can't believe we stayed at the same place! Our room was on the street level. OMG. I get rooms being outdated, but, there are cracks/holes in the ceiling tiles, uneven floor, stains in the tub, bad-bad-bad paint job (multiple paint colors), honestly, the list can go on and on.We chose this property because of the location - not knowing any better. We will find another to place to try next time we are in that area.
