They have wonderful hamburgers. Friendly site. They were prepping a meat auction for a family whose house had burned. Community minded folks who support one another.

Just burgers. But extremely good. Not your normal thin frozen bar burger.

I was thrilled to see that Ring's was open when I pulled in for lunch. I had made a few attempts before, but never had any luck. The best part was that my parents were with me! Walking in, Ring's looks like the typical Wisconsin tavern.... Dark, kinda dingy, but with a great selection of booze. We bellied up to the bar and ordered a cheeseburger and a beer for the three of us. Frozen mugs helped keep the Spotted Cow perfectly chilled. The burgers were prepped right in front of us and put in the coolest broiler ever. About 5 minutes later we were served! The buns were toasted in the broiler for a minute beforehand too. That made the cheese melt over the piping hot patty. That broiler does a magical job of making a fantastic crisp on the outside of the burger while keeping all of the burgers juices in the inside. All I could think about while eating was trying to figure out where I can get one of those broilers for my house! If you find yourself in the charming town of Plain, WI ever I hope for your sake that Ring's is open. You won't regret it!
