Stopped in for a quick snack and a lighter on our way back into Zion. Husband got carded for the lighter. Mind you he's in his 30s and looks it, he asked why, she said it's illegal for minors to purchase. Absolutely insane. He's 6'7 and over 400 pounds, on top of there is no age requirement for lighters or matches, rude staff giving out false law really tops it off. We stay in Zion often and will just stop elsewhere for snacks on the way in.

This place basically exists to rip people off right at the border. Do yourself a favor and travel 5m up the lakeshore, where the liquor stores donāt overcharge $2-3 a case.

What I hate about this gas station is they have pay at the pump and people don't utilize it correctly. Most of the business is from Illinois people looking to save 20 to 30 cents a gallon on gas. It gets pretty busy. Unfortunately though people will park in front of a pump leave their car there, going to the store and stand in line, buy lottery tickets and everything else in the meantime there are people waiting to buy gas. Sometimes there's only one cashier behind the counter.
The other problem is even if you do pay at the pump, you will probably not get a receipt from the gas pump. Beer prices are extremely high also as well as other things as you might expect in a convenience store. The workers in the store told me that they're not going to bother fixing the receipt printer because they'll be remodeling the gas stations and getting new pumps. Pro tip. Even though gas is about 30 cents cheaper than down the road in Illinois, it's better to go into Kenosha and save even more money on fuel.
