Metro Market opened in downtown Milwaukee in 2004 and introduced the urban shopping concept to the city of Milwaukee. Since then, each Metro Market location is unique, featuring a mix of fresh grocery selections, a great center store, and expanded fresh and prepared offerings that cater to shoppers on the go. The place is never stocked, and after about 7pm all checkout lanes close, forcing shoppers to use self checkout. Self checkout lanes on both sides of the store make it easy to get in and out, and there is a spot to put coupons in the slot after scanning them. However, one self checkout cashier was upset and had a bad attitude. Produce is consistently average but never bad, and the artisan cheese selection just past the bakery is worth checking out. The bakery fresh doughnuts, however, have been over proofed or under cooked lately, leaving some shoppers very disappointed.
The plover metro location has the best fruit platters. To whoever makes them you do an amazing job. It’s always fresh with no waste I can tell that person really takes pride in their work

Try to do most food shopping here .when in the area. Wish there was a metro market close to where I live.
