This gas station should be investigated for price fixing as they are so often, 15-35 cents higher than any other gas station in town. On 1/13 for example the other stations in town were at 2.75 while Amoco was 2.99. If this was the only time ok but it is no accident when it happens week after week. They are also always the fastest to raise prices and slowest to lower them too. While I realize individual retail establishments set their own pricing, that still does not explain why this Amoco station is so much higher than 4 or more gas stations within 2.5 miles. The explanation/link provided by the owner simply explains the reasons that gas prices fluctuate, such as seasonal demand, crude oil prices etc. Nothing in the link provided explains why this gas station is so much higher than the others. When I brought it up to friends and family, they had the same observation I did. I will recommend that my friends, family and coworkers to look elsewhere for gas.
