About Potosi Point Recreational Area
Potosi Point Recreational Area offers a gorgeous and peaceful spot with a great view of the Mississippi River. The area juts out into the river, providing fantastic views in all directions. Visitors can drive right up to the water. It features a boat launch ramp, a free telescope, and binoculars for viewing pleasure. There are no restrooms, facilities, or a picnic area. The location is often quiet with few people, making it a nice place to stop, relax, and stretch. The entrance road has a very low and narrow bridge, so big boats or trailers cannot access it.

Great view of Mississippi river and a a small marshy area. Lots of birds flew in at dusk to nest. Swans, geese primarily. Has a boat launch tamp and also a free telescope. No resteooms or facilities.

Gorgeous spot to stop and see the Mississippi River. You literally drive right up to it.Beautiful drive in.Nice place to get out and stretch.Almost no one there when we were there.Peaceful.
