I am a remote worker that is only five minutes outside of town. Had a different provider but they weren’t good enough for speed and connection issues for remote work. Changed to Mediacom and was good the first few months barely any issue.Now over the past two months constant dropped connection and modems going offline. Have to wait a minimum 3 days so unable to work that entire time.If you work remote look at other options if possible.

Terrible customer service. Constant issues with my internet. It went down this week and wouldn't come back up and they told me 2 weeks for a service call. I work from home and can't have my internet down for two weeks.I called a different ISP and they got me connected the next day and my bill is $40 cheaper.My neighbor's internet is down too and they told her the same thing, basically "Sorry, it'll be down for 2 weeks". She cancelled as well.When I called to cancel my service, the customer service rep explained that they had only one tech for our entire area and he only visits on Tues/Thursdays.Unfortunately, since they refuse to hire more techs and/or pay the ones they have overtime for service issues such as these, they lost two customers. Poor business decision to lose two customers instead of have someone fix a problem sooner.

I do not appreciate getting letters telling me that an ‘immediate response is required’. I must immediately sign up for your service? Take a walk buddy.. Will keep leaving bad reviews till they stop spamming me.

I am being generous with a 3 star review. Internet is unreliable at best. Constant outages that negatively impacts with my wife and I working from home. Nightly constant ping spikes makes gaming and streaming movies dang near impossible. Gone through 2 modems, had the line installed/buried fresh and still have issues. When it works, it is great. It just doesn't work often enough to be work the price.

I waited a month for a new modem/router to be shipped, and my internet is no better. I made numerous phone calls. "Having shipping problems", but still charged me $20 for a month of no service. And I connected to internet while on phone, now not connected and using phone data. I'm fed up!

Worst internet service I have ever had. Internet is constantly going out and for the price they charge that should not be happening. This is the only Internet provider I can get where I live which is very unfortunate. And if you call about the outages they give you a $2.60 credit which is extremely insulting when they charge what they charge for internet. This internet should not be more then $15 a month not $80 some dollars for trash internet. If I could give negative starts I would.

I'm giving them two stars versus one because the technicians are very friendly and kind, however three months of ongoing issues that I have to reschedule appointments for repeatedly (6 times currently), and the latest occurrence they have told me that they cannot get a tech to my residence for another 2 weeks (all occurrences have been the same issues). Their tech support is almost mocking in their responses, and when you ask them for escalation, they tell you they are notating your account. To be clear, no one reads those notes, it doesn't do anything. I've asked for supervisors to contact me for help, with no reply. It's awful. It's a shame to see how far this company has gone down hill.

Was in PDC helping my uncle out and we upgraded his tv. In doing so, we needed to upgrade his box and such. I wish I knew the lady’s name that helped us because she was undeniably one of the most helpful and personable people I have ever met! What a pleasure to work with! THANK YOU! She will know who she is if she gets to see this. To her I say, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE! You made a difference with your attitude and solution based service style!

100% hands down the worst internet service provider that I have ever had. Their prices are absolutely ridiculous especially after you leave an intro offer, and good luck having them think anything of the fact that you've been a longstanding customer, because asking any of the customer service agents they give the line that is, " this is all were able to do is $10. $10?? Really??I've worked call centers for cable companies and I have worked as a technician as well, and when taking retention calls like this they have more than one deal or promotion they can offer. Apparently the days of its more expensive to lose a customer than it is to try and keep them, has apparently been lost with this company somehow. And having data limits on your cable internet?I guess I was unaware that we were still stuck in the early to mid 2000's where data rates were charged pretty much to anything cell or mobile related but even then I never had a company that had a limit for internet. We could not be happier that our town will have a much better and cheaper option then MEDIACON.(that sounds more fitting for them),by spring. Unless you enjoy poor customer service, poor quality of the service they provide, combine that with ridiculous pricing that include data limits and every couple of nights through random weeks throughout the month for what they call "routine maintenance" outages. Do whatever you can for an internet provider before choosing this company... The only reason why I gave it a one-star is because I had to put that so it would register I feel this company really has no good merits.

Don't bother. We have had mediacom for 17+ years for our motel. We have 2 vacation rental properties that are on residential accounts. The business account is mostly always working fine. The other 2 -- not so much. Good luck calling for tech support and speaking with someone you can actually understand. Super frustrating. We will be switching to another provider ASAP.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The internet is constantly going down. I have had Centurylink and Charter before and never had issues like this, unfortunately Mediacom is our only option at our location and it is incredibly disappointing. How can the internet be going out this frequently? I am in school. I need the internet. I rely on Mediacoms services to turn my assignments in, and my grades are essentially dependent on whether or not the internet is working. This is just beyond ridiculous, I have homework to turn in tomorrow as it is the last day of class and I cannot upload the assignment because it is out yet again this week. Figure it out, Mediacom. This shouldn’t be so hard for you.

I've had issues with this company since before I ever even had service with them. I made an appointment for them to install the internet and when they showed up, they had to basically reschedule for a week later because they didn't have the right supplies.Service goes down quite often and for seemingly no reason at all. No storms, no wind, nothing and yet the internet goes down for hours or even days sometimes.Lastly, whatever router theyve given me does not work properly, so we made an appointment for them to come out on a Tuesday. They never called or showed up. So we called and they at first said they could get us in the next day but changed their minds and set up an appointment for over a week later. It's impossible to do anything effectively with my current router and yet, we're still gonna be charged the full amount.TLDR: Too many issues with this company. Save yourself the headache and go through somebody else if you can.

Only giving one star because zero stars isn't an option.Had an appointment scheduled for this morning. Was contacted by the technician stating that he was at my building but had to do some quick work outside before coming up to my apartment. I gave him detailed instructions on how to find my individual apartment. He went to the wrong apartment and just left didn't even give significant effort into finding the right one. I called the support staff which told me that he was expected to come back at 315 pm so I shuffled my entire schedule around to ensure I was here for him when he got here. He didn't show up so I went to the local office to ask what was going on and was told that I was next on his route and he'd be by in an hour..... Again never came and now I've been told that even though this error was on their behalf I'd have to wait another week for installment of services. The level of incompetence is unreal. Worst customer service I've ever experienced they're taking no accountability for their mistake. No effort to make it right. Nothing. DO NOT waste your money on this company.

Woke up and expected to watch morning news at 7am. No signal. Message " Check open input connect" Nothing wrong. I tried a couple of things - nothing happened. 45mins later tv screen turned off - I press power buttons and " a miracle occurred " my tv works like it should. I'm reviewing because I have no clue what happened on Mediacoms end , why I had no signal, and then it's there. Frustrating wasting my time to try and figure it out. SEND CUSTOMERS A TEXT IF WORK IS BEING DONE OR SIGNAL WILL BE INTERRUPTED FOR ANY REASON PLEASE !!! I was about to start looking into whether or not I paid my bill !!! What a hassle.
