About Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center
The Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center (GRRVLC) is a National Park Service Partner Site that connects people to the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers confluence region through educational programs, exhibits, native plant gardens, and cultural experiences. It is an Audubon Birding Site on the Great River Road Birding Trail and a Watchable Wildlife Site. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the rivers, spot birds of prey circling above, and use the provided binoculars to see the distant island. The well-maintained grounds, convenient parking, and informative displays make it a great stop for those passing through the area. The center also features a metal sculpting artist's work for sale and an impressive overlook of the river. Visitors can learn about the history of the region and the scenic Great River Road that travels down the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Louisiana.
