I ordered over $100 worth of product from ExoticBlanks. Everything was great with one exception … 7mm pen tubes that would not fit on my mandrel. I contacted the company via email and requested how to go about getting the items replaced. They responded saying the problem was probably on my end and that I needed to sand my mandrel. Instead of sanding the mandrel I just purchased a new one, tested it at Woodcraft where I purchased it and it worked fine. I brought the new mandrel home and tried the tubes again, they still did not fit. Therefore I contacted ExoticBlanks a second time and this time I was ignored ... no response … not even an acknowledgement of the email. Five days later I emailed a third time (after trying to call and was unable to get anyone), this time telling them that I would like a store credit or replacement items and I would send the items back and their expense. This time they responded saying:"Since you could not provide us with any measurements of the tubes, either of the mandrels of you are using, nor any photos (or even confirm any of the measurements we gave you), we will need to do this when we get the product back. [NOTE: I was never asked to do any of this.]If the tubes you received are indeed out of spec for a 7mm mandrel, we will also issue you a refund for the shipping as well as the product."While that is all good, I've just decided that $10 is not worth my time or effort, nor is ExoticBlanks worthy of my business. Why would I lie about $10 worth of product? You can either stand behind your product without going through the headache of arguing over the measurements of tubes or loose business. I have been making pens for quite some time now and never have I had a problem with a single tube until I got these from ExoticBlanks. A good business owner would simply agree to replace the product with no questions asked. Obviously customer service is low on their priority list. I will never do business with them again.

Fantastic service! A customer just placed a large, last minute pen order and wanted specific wooden pen boxes. I called, left a message, and got a call back in 20 minutes. Ed was able to ship this order by overnight air, keeping my customer happy. Thank you for the very quick response. This family business is my go-to supply source.

Placed a small order with Exotic Blanks. Order was shipped and received in a timely manner. However, what I had ordered was not what I received. I reached out to them to make an exchange. Ed promptly replied asking for a picture of what I did receive to which I replied with the requested picture. No response. I e-mailed again a couple days later to see if he got the picture I sent. No response. I won't be dealing with them again.

I order from Exotic Blanks whenever I needs pen kits or blanks. They offer the Mix & Match that other on-line pen retailers do not. Ed & Dawn take the time to write "Thank You" on your invoice which shows to me they care about their customers. They make sure to ship the others within hours of receipt.

The owner has not updated their hours or had anything on their website, but went to the store since the hours said open from 12-6. After the 35 minute drive to the location just to find out no one is at the store and it is by appointment only. No one answers the phone either so disappointed that I wasted an afternoon to try to support a local business.
