“We had a wonderful little vacation.We decided to take a little trip south for my fiancé’s 56tb birthday to see the House on the Rock again and to relax.All in all, it was a very nice and enjoyable weekend. We want to thank Barbara, Holly, Cynthia and the nice woman who was working in housekeeping the weekend of October 20th through the 22nd. They all helped to make sure we had a very nice stay. So much so that we decided to stay an extra night!!We will be back again!!Nearby activities: In the immediate vicinity, we decided to head over next door to Brewster’s Lanes bowling alley and it was a nice place to unwind and throw a few games of darts.We were about 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells and less than an hour from The House on the Rock.Walkability: There were quite a few businesses within walking distance.Bowling alley, gas station, grocery store, small shopping mall and our bank.Food & drinks: The food was wonderful. We ate at Marty’s Steakhouse which is attached to the hotel that you can access through a hallway that is adorned with numerous Norman Rockwell artwork.The Black Squirrel Longe was a nice quiet place to relax with a few cocktails before heading to bed.Noteworthy details: The awesome people who are employed at the establishment made our stay very enjoyable!The pool and hot tub were a nice surprise that we were able to make use of. It was quiet, relaxing, and we had to whole place to ourselves the night we decided to enjoy that amenity.”
