Drove to Seymour yesterday to purchase a couple of things. Purchased a bag of potato buns and cinnamon bread - threw away. Date on the label stated ‘sell by January 24 and January 28, 2024 respectively . Talk about dry and horrible taste. Just lost $10.It will never be the Don’s quality. Such a shame.

We stopped going. My wife, the kids and I used to go every Saturday for donuts. After moving 20 minutes away we still visited on Saturdays. But they are no longer any good. The selection used to be great and now they don't even have the donuts we always got and they taste awful. It was so nice when you got to ask the person behind the counter what you wanted but now they replaced that person with a display case, the same with the deli. It just no longer has that welcoming feel anymore since that changes. One of the unique things about this place you didn't see anywhere else was the person who would help bring your groceries to the car. They were replaced by a cart rack. The next biggest reason is the prices of everything are insane now compared to other grocery stores in the area. It was $7 for maybe 6 dress of turkey. Almost $10 for a a case of sundrop. And the $3 tiny personal size of taco dip I used to get on lunch now $7. I just can't afford work lunches here anymore. At least they still have Taco Tuesdays. I'm just sad we lost one of the best grocery stores in my hometown.

Prices way out of line. Expiration dates need to be longer than a few weeks or months. Bring back help for caring out groceries. Bakery needs to be improved , taste like older shipments. In all, last store owner was in touch with Seymours needs for elderly people.

Store Wi-Fi password changed in 2022 when it got new owners. I've asked an employee every time I've gone inside and they still don't know it. I've been asking twice a week for over 7 months and they still have no idea what the password to their guest wi-fi network is.If they fail at this most basic of questions repeatedly for 7+ months what are the odds that the rest of the store has acceptable customer service? According to the manager, there is a guest wi-fi network but no one there knows what the password is. I need the wi-fi to check my shared shopping list in case my wife added anything last minute or to double-check a recipe. The Skogen family needs to do better.

Don’t know what is happening to this once great hometown market. The bakery department is nothing like it was. Stop to get donuts because they were best around. Every one went in garbage. They are disgusting. Bit into and nothing but grease flavor. They all had a good 1/2” oil ring on bottom of each one like they were sitting in oil bath. Also the custard filling had awful sour taste. Totally disgusting. Seen other changes taking effect and it is not the nice place it used to be. I think you better start listening to your customers wants before you don’t have any customers coming back.

I agree with the more recent comments made. Don's had more to offer and a decent variety in products. (Gluten free, keto, multiple name brand choices etc.) They've also, always had a warm and inviting environment. (Employee's smiling and greeting customers and having some enjoyment with working with one another, always carry-out service and they always bag your items etc.) Since the buy-out, it seems to be falling short! Employees do not seem as happy, customers either. Due to changing everything to cater to the more "cold" not "communicable" atmosphere as a large chain grocery store. (Bakery items displayed the way they are and it seems like lately the recipe was changed, always better than anywhere around before.) Most of us realize how the market is right now, and how hard it is to get/keep employees and to get products. Also, it's even harder on small town business but, I feel with knowing this, most would be understanding if, they kept to the family owned, small town communicable state that Don's strived to have all these years. Please, consider going back to some of the things we all loved and appreciated. Thank you!

Last few months the prices have gone way up. Also a lot of our favorites are not carried anymore. Now we have to go into town to get the things we used to get at Don's.
