Love this area for my photoshoots. A lot of my seniors have their portraits taken here.

Fun, free, rainy day spot. I'm not a huge fan of modern and avant-garde art, and that's the majority of the art here. I love that local students' art is showcased here throughout the year. The bathrooms are a main attraction, and the giftshop is really fun. They often host community and cultural events, which is where the true value lies for me.

Taking art to a new level. A children's art room where anyone can try their hand at various arts and crafts, multimedia presentations, along with conventional art displays, and while we visited an exhibit and live performance of the life and works of Kea Tawana. Also, the food in the restaurant is very good. Well, worth a stop. Oh, the restroom art is phenomenal!

Went to band line up for green space in summer. Not enough seating for people, hard to move around with all the people trying to video record bands... Art center should mount recording device with ceiling mount to record and auto post on their website so you don't get ppl yelling for walking in front of them... Left after few minutes due to rude ppl.

The JMK Arts Center is a wonderful place, filled with so much diverse art! Each gallery, gives you a lot to look at, with beautiful & different styled pieces, eclectic and thought provoking styles and engaging the art lover within each of us, in many different ways. It is s treat for the eyes, AND the Soul.

Excellent gallery! I love discovering all of the rich culture to be had in Sheboygan at JMKAC. The staff are so kind, the art is so diverse and beautiful. The gift shop has a huge selection of art you can take home. The cafe has fresh, handmade food. What’s not to love?

We came to the area specifically to see this museum and its sister museum The Art Preserve. I am glad we made the trip as we were not disappointed in the quality of the art on display. We were very surprised though that so few people were at the museum on a Saturday, although the weather was frigid. The staff member at the front desk highly recommended we check out all the restrooms which are all different and designed by artists. Yes, we felt a bit strange taking photos of toilets, but it was an interesting experience. The grief room at the front of the museum is thoughtfully designed and really touched both my daughter and me. The Sky Hopinka video was very thought provoking and made me reflect on the meaning of life and how we remember those who are no longer with us and their impact on our lives. The area which was dedicated to the folk art of the Zahn family was very interesting. When we were going through the homestead where the Otis Houston exhibit is, I saw a horse inside what appears to have been a dining room. I meant to ask if it was taxidermied or a sculpture.

FREE! Very interesting! Very nice space for residents and visitors alike. The Arts Center is not just a museum, but a generous portion of the facility is set aside for the museum. The collection is not going to be to everyone's liking overall, as much of it is non-traditional and some a bit challenging. But it is FREE! So why not take a little time to visit? If you are in Sheboygan, I don't know why you wouldn't stop by.

Cool town art museum in Sheboygan. 4 different main exhibits and they all were well done by various artists. The coolest part are the bathrooms, probably the coolest bathrooms in Wisconsin. Definitely swing by here and it's free to see as well. Cute little date night too

good overall experience.definitely lacking in reception interaction. no greeting at all, and had I not worked there a long time ago, I wouldn't have any idea where to go or how to proceed. no introduction to the galleries or Cafe. you're definitely on your own, which can be good in one sense, but also a little confusing in another.really good food, a bit of confusion about the soup, as it appeared there were two different kinds, but there was really only one kind listed on two lines.and I don't know what's wrong with Google. for some reason no longer capitalizes sentences, and I'm tired of fighting with it so this review is as is by google. and take that as an example, Google is capitalized in the first sentence yet a couple lines later, it is not. I don't understand it's method or rhythm, and I know this is not the place for this comment but I am frustrated and tired of it wanting my comments but forcing a lack of clarity upon me.

It's a small museum with several exhibitions at a time, access to the historical Kohler home (in part), and a nifty shop. There is also a cafe but it wasn't open when we were there.

We attended the mid-summer art fest at the John Michael Kohler Arts building and surrounding streets. Approximately 100 artist were displaying their wares. Many interesting works of art and several entertaining street artists. Food trucks were available for the hungry artists and shoppers.
