Couldn’t buy anything unless I gave them my personal information, which was odd. I asked if the employee could just enter their name and they said no. I’m not some paranoid weirdo that thinks the government is watching me, but I just think that a tourist visiting a shop once doesn’t need to have their info entered in a database. I decided to buy at a different store. I liked Board Game Barrister. The employees there were really friendly and fun. Also, after reading some of the reviews, the owner seems quite snarky and defensive. ? Perhaps you could just add a skip option like all the other stores have?

Stopped in to buy some dice and I was super impressed. The store is beautiful, the staff are super friendly, and the dice are reasonably priced. Very welcoming atmosphere. I will be coming back.

Extremely overpriced magic the gathering sealed products. It's on par with scalpers at a taylor swift concert. Draft sealed on Ravinia remastered is almost 100 dollars over market price and almost double price of collectors booster box. Absolutely absurd. I remember when their old store used to be on 8th and Lincoln and i brought in my own energy drink at an fnm, and the owner totally reamed me about bringing it into their store. Basically, scolding me for not buying their own drinks. Being the nice guy that i was, i apologized and even offered to pay for the drink that i already paid for just for the privilege of drinking it in their store; even then, she still wanted me to put it in my car. Now, i saw a poster that they charge an 8 dollar seat fee to play fnm, which they complain to customers that no one shows up. I wonder why. People need to be warned about this place. Do NOT shop here. It's not hyperbole to say that these prices are so much over market value that it's a scam. Buyer beware.

We love this store! The owner commits much of her time researching her products, she does a great job recommending appropriate games to her customers. My kids are young, but Lynn was able to recommend games to keep them engaged and excited for game night. The staff is friendly, and the store looks awesome. If you want unique games for family game night, check this place out.

Whenever I’m looking for a new game for a specific person, group, or event their knowledgeable and friendly staff listen to my needs and always steer me right. Scored so many good gifts here, and plenty of goodies for myself. Downtown store is very attractive in an old jewelers shop.Bonus that they let me bring my dog in and even gave him a treat!

The GameBoard in an incredible store that makes you feel like you've been transported to a shop in a fantasy novel! The attention to detail, friendly staff, and amazing selection of items sets them apart. Its one of my favorite places to visit and Lynn and her staff are absolute gems!

Same experience as everybody else who asked for my information. Answer me this then to the owner of the company responding to these reviews. If you're looking at everybody else's reviews and using their full name for discourse, why not have your name as part of your Google account. Hell, I used this one just because I don't have my name tied to it publicly. Hypocrite. You also don't have sales from people all over because it's family. You'll never talk to over 90% of your customers a second time. So I guess it comes down to selling consumer's information to profit and trying to mask it. I'll think that until absolutely proven otherwise. How low can you get

They wouldn't sell us items unless you give them personal information. Won't be back.Update: wow! I just read other reviews (one stars) because I never had this happen to me and I am so happy that I did not support this store. IT ISNOT A PRIVILEGE TO SHOP AT THIS STORE. I can't beleive a owner of any store would state this. Can you imagine going to a grocery store and they stated they needed all my personal info or I can't purchase items? I don't care what they need it for. My choice.

If I could crank this review all the way up to 11 stars, I would.I got to visit the store while visiting my bestie and it is so lovely inside. I really appreciate the example game set-ups they have on display, and the staff are very friendly. They really went above and beyond for me recently when I contacted them about purchasing a surprise gift for my bestie. They wrapped it up beautifully and even crafted my lengthy message into a beautiful letter that went with the Lord of the Rings theme and everything. I tricked my friend into thinking they were going to the store to buy something for me, and the staff were able to surprise her on my behalf. It worked perfectly thanks to them!I love The GameBoard ❤️
