I would strongly recommend Greg Kroll to anyone looking to buy their first home. His knowledge and support were second to none.

I negotiated my first mortgage with North Shore Bank more than thirty years ago, when they were located on the Northeast corner of Lake Bluff and Oakland avenue. I received the mortgage and I am still living in the same house. I am retired now and went their new office in Shorewood; I wanted to open a savings account for my grandchildren, According to them, I didn't have proper identification, because my driver's license had expired. Of course, it had expired. I don't drive anymore. Anyway, I was refused the capacity of opening an account. The attending service person had no way of resolving the situation.

It takes forever for anything to get done here apparently. I had paper checks I deposited process for nearly 3 weeks before I ever saw the money hit my account. Any charges you make with your debit card will pend for God knows how long so you never really know how much money you have. I've had a horrible experience using this bank and plan to close it as soon as humanly possible. I'm tired of only getting half of my paycheck because they don't bother to protect you from getting overdrawn and slap a nice fat fee on top of it. I'm 21 and broke enough as it is.

Tried for weeks to transfer my auto loan to North Shore using this branch. Ended getting fed up of them not returning my calls so I called my original branch and they got the ball rolling immediately over the phone. I HIGHLY recommend going to a different branch to get any kind of work done.

Love my Shorewood North Shore Bank!! Shannon, the manager, goes above and beyond to make sure customers are being helped and everything is running smoothly! Rosylyn, Laura, Kenya, David, Audrey and Tiana all strive to make this a pleasant experience and have all worked hard to make this a smooth transition for new customers.

Great place, I love the staff here and the bank itself is fantastic as well. No downside, never had a bad experience

I'm a 21 year old broke college student living pay check to paycheck. Had a problem with my account where the bank basically stole $360 from me. Went in to go talk to the branch manager but was told she was too busy to see me even though the tellers told me she wasn't doing anything. Said I would receive a phone call but never did. Canceling my account with them as soon as possible.

They made it hard and I could tell they were not happy that I paid my boat loan off in 6 months vs 15 years or what ever. Kept nickle and dime me to death to get it cleared. Took them months to release the title. Pretty much loan sharks and the worse banking experience ever.

Northshore Bank is the best, this location is good, employees have been friendly and quick as I always seem to be in a hurry when banking. I usually do the drive though here and it is always quick and correct! Inside has been a good experience here also.

I would usually never waste my time leaving a review, but this bank is absolutely horrible. Not only do the tellers have a bad attitude but the bank itself charges you nearly $40 for over drafting plus the charges for every day that you're negative!

Worst North Shore Bank!

February 2015 by LJ ST
Worst North Shore Bank! I went in and requested some information (a statement and a copy of a check I deposited at this location 3 days ago). I went up to the teller and asked politely if she could help me - I explained what I needed and she got upset because she had to do some work. She calls the manager..who is sitting right behind us (same f^&*$(@ room) and asks if she would help. Long story short - she said...and I quote "I will help for six dollars a page" I went to the North Shore on Capital and Oakland - went to the teller and he printed out the 12 pages needed within 2 minutes. This North Shore was going to charge me $72.00 to print out information. 72 bucks to spend 2 minutes with a customer that has been banking with them for over a decade.
