I was running low on gnomes, so I went to the Olson House. Great place for scented candles and other hygge home decor.

Olson House is my favorite local gift shop. It's my go-to stop for picking up favorite soaps and lotions by local makers Indigo Thyme and Alice's Garden, and the Scandinavian pieces are charming. I also love the seasonal felted animal ornaments - great gifts, and I couldn't resist them myself!

Olson House has the most unique and thoughtful items for self care and home decor. I also love that they focus on sustainability in the products they sell, packaging, and manufacturing partners. The staff are all friendly and helpful without hovering. Support a local small business and get quality products with impeccable style!

Wonderful place to stop by for gifts and for your home. You will find locally made and internationally crafted personal and home goods. You will love the variety of items and knowledge of the staff. The owner clearly takes pride in curating the items in her store AND she's available for design services. This is by far one of the best places in the Metro area to shop!

Registering at Olson House for our wedding was a fantastic decision! Teresa was incredibly responsive and helpful as we curated our wish list, and our friends and family were delighted to support such a wonderful locally owned business. We'll be Olson House fans for life!

I was first introduced to this beautiful Swedish shop at a Women United event benefiting the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County. The had beautiful things there to buy but I wanted more so chose Small Business Saturday to visit their Shorewood store. I was looking for some Scandinavian themed gifts for my sisters-in-law and there was so much to choose from. I bought Swedish dish cloths and their brand of scented candles. They shell amazing. The best finds though were gifts for my husband for our 28th anniversary. He's Swedish and then some. I bought him a pink wooden heart, a tin birch scented candle and a yummy candy bar. He loved each item. My daughter also lucked out finding a colorful rug for her new apartment (only $47!) and a gnome rotary candle holder for a friend. While shopping we were invited to have mimosas and cookies. We could have stayed all day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I'm sure I'll head back before Christmas for more gifts!

Just over two years ago, I was walking along Oakland Avenue in Shorewood and noticed a small business that had attractive home furnishing in the window. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly young woman, Theresa Olson, who is the owner. I discovered that she is an interior designer with a great eye and a wonderful personality. I have lived in my 1928 Tudor home for 26 years, and it was time to update chair upholstery and other things. I had so much fun working with her. She listened to my goals, respected my budget, and helped me accomplish just what I was looking to achieve. I added a classic modern Danish table and chairs to the kitchen that fits perfectly with the 200 year old cabinet behind it. I have lovely reupholstered dining room chairs, office chairs, bedding, and pillows. Am I happy? Yes, so happy. She receives 5 stars and a "as good as it gets."
