Fresh bakery, good assortment of desserts, good breakfast and lunch fare, in addition includes a plant based menu. And of course coffee! Counter service, fairly quick service. Hang out and work on your laptop or have a bit with friends, or both!

The food here is okay, but it's way over priced. Also the staff are not very nice to people to talk to. They often seem annoyed by the customers. I bought a sandwich, a canned soda, and a cup of soup and it was $30. Not worth it

Eaten here many times and always had a great sandwich & soup! My favorite is the vegetable stack, lots of fresh veggies! The vegetable chili was super hearty & tasty, it was like eating actual chili! Yum! Fun place to eat in the summer on the sidewalk tables & enjoy a meal with your furry friends! Counter service but they bring it out to you when it's ready.

Horrible experience last evening at this place. Sandwich was a turkey with three times as much tomato which wasn't even listed as an ingredient. Went to get dessert and was told by staff that they needed the plates back in 5 min (they were getting ready to close at 630 cleaning and vacuuming) did I still want it for there or "to go" After spending almost $35 on what was a marginal meal at best the staff started flashing the lights at 6:58 pm urging us to leave so they could walk out the door at 7 sharp. If I owned this place I would fire that whole crew and teach your staff what it means to be a customer. Horrible horrible horrible Don't waste your time or $$$ at this third rate joint.

The avocado toast is not well-assembled...the avocado is in slices and falls off the bread, as well as the fresno chile slices. It would be MUCH better if it was mashed with the chiles mixed in.

City Market disappointed me. I ordered a warm portobello and vegetable sandwich, with the addition of Pepperjack cheese at an extra charge. When my sandwich arrived at our table, I noticed it was without cheese, which was a bummer because the sandwich NEEDS cheese. If I had been dining alone (which I wasn't), I would have sent the sandwich back to the kitchen, but time prevented me from doing so and the restaurant was very busy. Needless to say, I did not enjoy my lunch very much. Eating out is just too expensive these days, especially so when you can't get what you ordered! I would like to add that we usually enjoy City Market and appreciate their food and service.

We love City Market. They have quick service and a variety of options. Their desserts are amazing and always have a stocked case. I like that they give an option of fruit or fries. You order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. There are quite a few tables and is a casual atmosphere. Is a little pricey but we enjoy it! Highly recommend if you want good sandwiches and tasty desserts!

It's hard to find a true European style cafe. Fresh bread, cakes, coffee, and other light eats. Good food and coffee, with counter service. The atmosphere itself isn't bad, but also a little lackluster.

After riding the Oak Leaf Trail, I stopped at this cozy little place for a much-needed break.Lovely decor, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere help set this place apart! The cranberry nut scone was tasty and paired well with the decaf blend. I appreciated that you get a self-serve mug when you order 'for here' drinks, and there was a great selection of non-dairy creamers (almond milk) and natural sweeteners like honey. I'll be back!

Just had pastries that were terrific. The mint chocolate chip brownie is one of the best in the city. Same for pumpkin bars.

City Market is pure bliss! They have homemade granola and soups. The bakery is to die for. They have healthy choices! The patio is great for the summer!

Kind of surprised that the Shorewood cafe does not have butter, only margarine! And the staff seemed surprised by my request for butter.
