Tom is the owner (Elmer was his late boss) -- he is very kind and very knowledgeable. He's responsive to calls and communication. He always explains what services are needed and never tries to overstate the issues. Very reasonable prices and professional service. One of the nicest guys you could meet.

Tom and his work at Elmer’s are wonderful & very honest. As a woman I’ve had my share of up pricing by other auto shops in the past, but never here. He will always give you a very fair price and does great work. Example: The last time I was in, the pipe connecting the muffler was broken. He could have said hey let’s replace the muffler too but he did not because he said it’s in good shape. He’s ethical like that. I’m glad to have found him!

My daughter had a tire stem that we had a plan to fix - but it broke off. She got the spare on and then found there was no power steering. Between her there and me 2 hours away we figured there was no fluid likely due to a small leak. On her car it’s in a difficult spot to get to and while she is fully capable, didn’t have the necessary tools handy.
I called and spoke to someone about her bringing it in. Got a price for the tire stem. Later when we found the power steering issue I called and they were willing to help with that also to get her home.
She stopped in the next day. The person who helped her changed the stem on the tire and took off the spare and put her tire back on AND put fluid in, found the leak and both quoted her a fair price and timeframe to get it fixed and also showed her where it was leaking in case we wanted to fix ourselves. They didn’t talk down to her at all and treated her professionally and like the capable adult she is and did not charge for the help they gave.
Treating customers this way, especially when they are in a spot and just want to get home for the holidays says a lot about the character of the shop and how they run their business. I absolutely recommend them - if this is what they do for a smaller issue, I have to think they would be that thorough on any issue they work on. Go here - you won’t be disappointed!

Elmer’s did great electrical work on my ‘99 Saturn. They communicated with my dad about what was going on since I am a college student here. My professor recommended this place and I am really happy with their work. I am beyond grateful they were willing to work on my old well-loved car (-:

I cannot recommend Elmer's enough. There have been several times where I've been Really unsure about my car and I've brought it to tom, he diagnosed it right every time and has given me a great deal every time.
Always willing to make time if he can and a couple times has even shown me how to fix things myself the next time they go wrong.

Elmer's is an excellent mechanic shop. I called about the rear brakes on my vehicle that needed replacement. The man I spoke to (who I assume was the owner, but I'm not totally sure) was very friendly, and patient with my questions. He was also very transparent about the cost. The price was very reasonable, and I was able to schedule the work on my vehicle for the very next day! I will definitely recommend Elmer's to anyone looking for work in their vehicle.

My muffler broke halfway through a 4 hour drive to visit with my family. Elmer's was the only auto shop on a Friday evening that was able/willing to look at my car to make sure it was still safe enough to finish my drive. I was able to see my family for my birthday because of that, thank you!
