I filed a flood insurance claim on my New Deere 331P skid steer. I use this machine 60 plus hours a week for my business. I can’t afford the down time of having troubles with sensors later on and the potential water problems that could come in the future, that’s why I filed an insurance claim. I wanted everything gone through, inspected and electronics replaced or checked that had water submersion so I wouldn’t have electronic sensor issues later on.
Sentry Insurance denied my insurance claim. My machine spent 3 weeks at the dealer just to all be lost time since they denied it. After finally getting that news, I told the dealer to go ahead and service everything. Now we’re at 4 weeks down time, the machine won’t run for an extended period or time, and I’ve got hydraulic sensor issues. Exactly like I was worried about. I had to go buy another skid steer and mulcher because I can’t get my new skid steer to operate.
What’s the point in insurance!?!? Sentry, you denied my claim which has now cost me 10’s of thousands of dollars of down time, plus the cost of another new $120k machine setup that I shouldn’t of had to go and purchase just to have a machine to finish a job since you denied fixing mine.
There’s nothing hidden or funny here. The process was followed to a T with support of my John Deere dealer, all documentation and photos were logged, all information was provided, and you padded your pockets by denying a legitimate insurance claim.

Had to have 2nd opinion to REOPEN workers comp claim, got sent to OLD so called Dr. didn't even have pillow in exam room.. I had to use his old leather backpack GROSS!! Him nor his nurse even knew how to load x-ray disc into computer!! stay as far away as possible from any I.M.E. they send you to.. especially this OLD one.. he needs to retire, along with his his OLD backpack ,,,

I was with these folks for a few years. From looking at all these reviews, I’m glad I switched insurance company’s now. Insurance coverage in Michigan is an excessive cost in the first place, any increase in rates, for a retired guy, on a fixed income, with no claims, and no accidents - requires that you have to shop around.
Hesitation on paying justified claims, is an insult to the customer that trusts your organization, with their very livelihoods. In case that didn’t teach you that in insurance school.

I would give zero stars if I was allowed.
My wife was hit by one of Sentry's insured while stopped at a light. The driver of the semi was 100% at fault so you would think things would go smoothly. But at every turn Anthony Molski has attempted to shirk Sentry's responsibility. He has been unprofessional and uncommunicative from the start. Even their insured warned us that he never picks up calls and does not return calls. Sending out emails to short us on payments for our rental car bill is his attempt to wall himself off.
Ryan Benedetti is no better denying that Sentry has any liability for the diminished value of our vehicle. A semi wipes out the side of our car and he claims there is no diminished value. The dealership where had already ordered a new car from is now giving us $2,000 less because of the damage.
I thought these sort of tactics from insurance companies were behind us but these two are either rogue employees or represent what Sentry is really all about.
My suggestion is to stay as far away from a company that does business in this disreputable manner.
