They have major issues keeping prescriptions in stock. I'm not sure who controls that, but they need a serious talking-to. I get texts saying the prescription is ready, but when I arrive, it's often a 20 to 30-minute wait. I usually call first to avoid delays, but now it's just plain incompetence. Walgreens can't seem to keep the right amount in stock, so whoever is in charge of inventory needs to be looked at and adjusted.
And the call system? It’s terrible. If I ask to speak to a pharmacist at a specific location, they route me to a call center. Is it competent to send someone to a call center when they specifically ask for a pharmacist at a certain store? Absolutely not. Just think if Walgreens loses its pharmacy they go out of business because nobody's shopping in their actual store. Im already fed up and am done completely with Walgreens apparently they never bother to fix things on a corporate level and store item prices are jacked sky high compared to anybody else.

Just abysmal wait times, compounded by disorganization and lost prescriptions. Your best case scenario is over two hours to get a prescription fulfilled and an additional hour waiting in line to pay for it. I hope you didn't need that prescription for anaphylaxis in a hurry...

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I tried 3 times to pick up a prescription for my granddaughter and waited in line at the window only to be told that it was was not ready, second time, was told it was their break time and I should come back in an hour. Then waited over 20 minutes in the drive drew only to be told again that it was break time. Very poor service. We will never use Walgreens again.

Unfortunately, this happens a lot. Customer service is among the worst. I had a prescription called in for a straightforward but necessary drug early in the afternoon. I looked at my unreliable Walgreens app and was told it's being processed. At 5pm, I call, and after 45 minutes of being on hold, I'm told it will be ready at 6:30 pm. I arrive at the drive-through at 6:20 pm and finally reach a window at 7:15, and im told they're closed. This particular pharmacy has a pattern of not being customer or patient-focused. Im not sure if it's being understaffed or incompetent, but I hope they work harder at serving their loyal patients.

Today sucked trying to get a prescription. My aunt has been calling for a couple days now. They said it couldn't be filled without doctor approval so her doctor sent approval. Then Today they said it would be ready in a few hours as if they only just noticed it. That was at 2pm
I went to pick it up at the church street walgreens where we normally go, they said they had nothing in database, so I went home and got the empty medicine containers so I could tell them what was needed, went back to church street, and was told it finally showed up on screen but wait it's at the park ridge one, it's 5:25 pm now. So i go to park ridge and what's this , great a long double line up at the drive thru, im thinking ok It has 2 lines to get people thru faster right? Nope it's barely moving, all the time im wondering why it's moving way slower than the church street one ever has and that has one line, so it's funny my turn im thinking I made it to the window, nope it's the other guys turn with the air chute thing, I have my window open and am horrified at what I hear, something about his prescription is being filled at some sort of offside location and will be here in 2 days or if they want it today then it can be canceled and filled right here on the spot, so he wants it now like I would too, so she says she will go fill it and walks away, ARE you KIDDING me?!
Why would the cashier have to leave their station when they are just to hand the should have been ready medicine out the window, where are the rest of the staff?!
He funny gets his, so my turn, one is ready other is not, OMG fine please go fill it. So now im holding up the line, I look thru the window and I see a long line inside too!
Are they that short handed? The church street walgreens is way better imo
I finally get mine and used express pay.
I finally get home at 6:55pm almost 2 hours later to just get a couple prescriptions, I thought I'd grab it then go home and have a frozen pizza by 5:45pm at latest so my mom, aunt and I dint really do much for supper tonight because it's almost their bedtime, thanks alot walgreens. When i got home my aunt discovered one was a prescription she already had plenty of and one was right one but 15/270 not a full prescription, one that we didn't get she's completely out of
The only saving grace was the lone pretty girl trying her hardest running the window station.

This Walgreens in Park Ridge, their Pharmacy is always busy and they are short staffed and I really don't care because I shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes in the Drive-Thru to pick up my medication. And if I go inside there's still a long line so it doesn't matter which of the three lines that you were in, it takes too long. I have tried the other Walgreens in town and they have the same problem that there's always long lines.

2-3 processing days to fill my prescription. Then a 30-45 minutes wait when there's only a couple people ahead of me. Very frustrating when my order takes 2 minutes. Something organizational needs to be corrected. .
Update to add view of the next wait time. Have been here 25 mintes before anyone was helped (the only cars that have moved before are the 3 that have backed out.) Calling gets you to an offsite technician and then rerouted to walgreens to wait on hold. Nobody can confirm if theres even a tech on site or if they walked out! Then suddenly cars start moving like the employees just realized there was a line. Just like last time. 45 minutes later to get your 2 minute prescription. Will be changing pharmacy to metro market for my next subscription. They have much better reviews and at least I can shop if I need to wait as long as Walgreen makes you!

Terrible customer service. I was on hold over a half hour without an apology and a condescending attitude from the pharmacist by the time I finally spoke to one. The problem with prescription which I sent in over a week ago is till jot sorted out. They certainly have a monopoly in town.

Walgreens has overall went downhill with their pharmacy department. Each location we go to, there is always poor customer service, and at least an hour wait just to pick up a prescription because of the long lines. I’m also unsure what the point of the Call Center is when you call a Walgreens and request the Pharmacy option. There’s always a language barrier and they can never seem to provide an accurate answer and transfer me to the store instead. In our area we have two Walgreens and there is never enough staff or no Pharmacist on duty so some prescriptions cannot be distributed. We are switching to our local grocery store for future prescriptions and OTC medications.
