Madison Avenue Wine Shop is a great little place in Sturgeon Bay and is so much more than a wine shop. It offers a great assortment of wines, beers, and liquors, including great whiskey selections and specialty beers. There is also an incredible collection of much more: wonderful artisan olive oils and balsamic vinegars, cheese, sausage, snacks, and yummy little munchies. The shop features many interesting home decor and cooking items you cannot find anywhere else. A fridge and freezer contain fresh, homemade grab-and-go foods, with generous portions of delicious items like Chicken Waldorf salad and Shrimp and Asparagus Lemon Ravioli. The people raise this local shop to the category of Best of the Best. The staff provides marvelous, friendly service and great advice, making every customer feel comfortable, welcome, and like they belong. They are helpful without being obtrusive, creating a fun atmosphere where you feel good to be in the store. It is a vital part of the neighborhood, committed to serving both tourism visitors and residents alike. Many customers stop here every time they head to Door County and never leave empty-handed, considering it their first shopping choice.
Great place! Very knowledgeable crew. Hard to describe their excellent bourbon selections, but if you can’t find something you are looking for, then you don’t need it. Thanks for the samples and insight. Walked away with an old favorite and some knowledge.

Once or twice a year when we head up to Door Country, the Madison Avenue Market is always our first stop. DeeDee always gives marvelous, friendly service and great advice about the best liquors. A couple years ago, she introduced us to Shanky's Whip and life has never been better!
