“Rod's does awesome work and has great customer service. They were willing to problem solve and fix a cable that separated from my hood latch. A 10 minute fix that Ziegler Honda claimed would require 1000+ repair if they could get the parts. They've done paint work for me in that past and I'm always satisfied.”

Now that I have your attention, I would highly recommend Millhouse Auto Body. Brought my vehicle to them for a small chip repair and received a very, very reasonable estimate (which is rare these days so many people/business are trying to get every penny out the customer as they can). Anyways, I decided to try them out. I dropped off the vehicle in the morning and got a call early that afternoon saying it was ready and that they had a very hard time matching the color (metallic gunmetal gray color) which I already knew was a going to be a hard color to spot touch up for it to look 100%. Got back over to the shop and I would say it was 85-90% true to rest of the color. The only way to make it 100% would be to paint the entire door which would have been absurd for a 2x2mm chip. Started talking with the GM how much effort went into trying to figure out how to get it 100% and finally came to the conclusion that they can’t with such a small chip repair. Which I understand from my own experiences so I knew he was correct with what I was being told.
To say the least because Millhouse takes such pride in their workmanship and the fact they couldn’t get the chip repair 100% color matched the general manager refused to take any money from me. Who the hell does that in today’s world! I thought that was an incredible standup thing to do. Not many people are like that anymore.

“I have had this shop on my radar for afew months to stop and arrange a repair. The pics of it looking like it exploded was at a scenic overlook up north in the middle of nowhere. The lesson here is when parking barriers are installed and the rods are NOT fully insured this will occur to your low sitting vehicle . The fully completed pics are the completed repair really made the car look like the day we bought it.
They patiently waited for me cause this was our first snow day. They took the car immediately for service. This owner has a great shop and crew. The cost was very reasonable and even driving the distance from North Racine was not a issue. Dealing with good people I s a pleasure. Thank you classic Center.”
“My Jeep was the subject to a hit and run, I only had it for 3 months, I was so upset. It took me a year to get her fixed. We were going into winter and I work in Illinois so I wanted my Jeep. Once Spring came i wanted to do my due diligence and get some estimates, this proved to be more difficult than I imagined. Turns out Body shops work the exact same hours that I do, so getting her in for estimates wasn't easy. The last place I contacted was A-1. When I explained my situation the man on the other end of the line asked me where I lived, I told him and this man offered to come to my house to take the pictures needed for the insurance company. That was the moment I knew that I found my body shop. THAT is what customer service looks like. They have a wait because they are booked out and i now understand why. I missed my first drop off appointment because i dont listen to my voicemails and i was in Colorado when i was supposed to drop it off. When i called and explained the man was VERY understanding and just scheduled another frop off day.IOnce I got my Jeep there for the repairs she needed, I was told it would be done on Thursday. Not only was she ready for pick up on Thursday, the gentleman went over my paperwork, repairs, and warranty. Very thorough. One i got in my Jeep to leave, i was next level amazed. Not only was the body work and paint job flawless, they had detailed the inside of my Jeep. She looked and smelled like new again. When i went back in to thank them again the man very humbly said it's just something we donor our customers. On a scale of 1-10 A-1 Auto Body in Racine is a 50!!! The people at this body shop, are kind, they communicate with you every step of the way, they are understanding and most importantly to me they understand customer service. That is saying something in a world where it is near impossible to find customer service. I felt appreciated for choosing them and now I appreciate them. I will never take a vehicle anywhere else. “14-Nov-25 used self service wash. $5 got me 10 minutes which I feel is generous/appropriate. I only saw an option to feed the machine bills and not coins or credit card. The automatic door closing was difficult to see through to tell if the vehicle inside had exited or not. I thought the entrance door would open automatically, but I had to get out and push a button. Which I am totally okay with. Thankfully I could read from my seat what the label on the covered button said about pushing red button to open door. It is indeed a very long bay. As I exited I pressed the button to open the door for the entrance for the next driver. I’d return to this car wash for sure.”

“Glass was installed and so far no air or water leaks. I didn’t opt for the higher package because I already had new wipers to put on it and wasn’t worried about the rain x. My only issue is the glass was so dirty upon pickup. Inside and out I had to spend some time cleaning the glass. The day I picked up the car I drove after sunset and any car that passed me in the opposing lane caused me not to be able to see the road because the film buildup on the windshield. I’m assuming this glass sat since it’s for an older car and the build up wasn’t too noticeable until light shines at it. Overall I’m happy but hope they see this and start cleaning glass inside and out after install to avoid causing a potentially dangerous situation.”
