Great place to work! Kind people and good at following up with one another :). They really work hard to make sure all are happy and productive. Very professional and caring. They have many pieces for drivers to check in with to ensure their health - fruit at terminals and an actual health care and fitness instructor if you want to participate.

Terrible experience, very unprofessional recruitment offered a position then retracted and said for having to many jobs (I always work 2 jobs at the same time) when I said the jobs they listed was well over 3 years they hung up in my face twice

i don't work here or drive for them but i hope to in the future. can i just say what amazing and safe driver's they have?! everytime i see a driver representing this company they are always respectful, curtious, and safe driver's. i don't know what this company does but it has to be pretty damn good because this company definitely strives to teach their drivers well. so keep up the good work halvor lines, people notice when a company takes the time to ensure safety on the road for their drivers and others.

Picking up a load In Counce TN and not 1 but 2 drivers drive right around me in the the line to get a dock. Entitled they are. When I confront the one he says he didn't see me. Like come on you was parked behind me then drove around me to grab the dock I was waiting to open up and he then says. Sorry I'm not good at this! Clearly these guys don't know anything about Driver etiquette. Maybe they need more training or Maybe that's how Halvor teaches there drivers to treat other drivers! 40265 was the clown that claimed he could not see my rig and 41202 was the guy that decided to grab a dock then check in with the guard shack.

Roughly 7 months ago I had a phone interview and was called an idiot on the interview because I didn't want to give them my past employers information and so I hung up the phone just now I sent in an application and I have never been called by a recruiter since and so I decided to call them today and the recruiting people said that I was ineligible wouldn't give me a reason and then hung up the phone on me when I called HR they told me that there's nothing that they can do about it and they don't know any of the reasons why but it's supposedly okay for the recruiters to call their potential employees idiots and then for the recruiters to hang up on people being that I've only called them or talked to them twice first time being called an idiot second time being hung up on and then the third time was talking to HR

I deal with their drivers on a daily basis at my job and I am shocked by the number of rude, entitled, combative, and unprofessional drivers that Halvor employs. They lack patience, self-control, and clearly do not care about representing their company in a positive way. With that said, I have interacted with many wonderful drivers that truly embody professionalism and are excellent ambassadors for their company. How unfortunate for the excellent drivers to be diminished by the actions of the terrible ones.

Got a truck wash and Friday is driver free lunch day. Been driving for Halvor for 8 months now and they are by far the best company to work for. They know how to treat their drivers.

I hold the perspective that Halvor Lines may potentially raise concerns as an organization. Their operational model entails an agreement whereby individuals commit to a year of service in exchange for coverage of their CDL training expenses. However, it becomes disconcerting when one considers the clause that mandates a $10,000 repayment if an individual either voluntarily resigns or is terminated. What has further raised eyebrows in my observation is the frequent dismissal of students, often for reasons unrelated to their job performance. For instance, I personally witnessed an incident where an individual was terminated due to a messy hotel room, a situation that could arguably be attributed to inadequate housekeeping services provided by the hotel. These dismissals appear to occur abruptly, with no prior warning or progressive disciplinary measures.Additionally, there have been reports of Halvor Lines entering students' accommodations without their prior consent, an action that raises legitimate concerns about potential violations of privacy. Such practices warrant careful consideration and evaluation within the context of employment standards and ethical conduct.

I’m giving two stars only because of how lenient they are on letting their drivers idle the truck. I sat next to their driver at a Walmart from Friday to Monday. Wouldn’t you believe this guy idled his truck that whole time! That’s 72+ hours without shutting it off once!! The temperature was 68 for a high and 50 for a low, give or take a few degrees. There is absolutely no reason to idle a truck in those temperatures! As a truck driver, I happen to know that it costs 10.00$ an hour to idle a truck. So that is a total of 720.00$ in fuel that this guy costed the company!!! WOW! And the company is ok with that! It’s none of my business but, it is my business when these drivers just blatantly pollute the environment for no reason like it doesn’t matter in the long run! If the guy was cold at night in 50 degree weather, this can be remedied with just two blankets. But no, he’s rather blatantly idle the truck WOW! 720.00$ plus dollars out the window….ok!
