We had them sent out by GE to complete a repair on our dishwasher that was still under warranty and the tech showed up, did a hard reset and left after I told him I had already tried that. I was on a conference call when he left so I called back immediately when I realized what he had done and they said they would send him back out. He never showed up and I had to call GE back to get him scheduled again. GE scheduled them to come back and again they never showed and when I called again to report them as a no show they lied and said they were waiting on a part that was on order. They never even ran diagnostics on the error. Luckily we were able to talk GE into sending a new company. If you have any choice in hiring them, don’t waste your money.

I had a good experience. I called, they were able to come out the next day and they fixed my oven within an hour. The tech was efficient and had the part he needed with him.

DO NOT HIRE!!!! This company DOES NOT even deserve 1 star. Terrible communication and when they finally were able to look at my dryer, the tech tore apart our entire dryer, was rude, he put my cat intentionally outside and then when leaving all he said was don’t plug it in and tried taking off. I had to ask tons of questions and said they would call me back, well, they never did. I had a new company come out to fix the issue and Johnson appliance left without screwing and putting together the dryer, it also wouldn’t start which wasn’t the original issue. They basically broke it even more, miss diagnosed the issue, left it a mess and then completely ghosted me. How is this company even in business still. !!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE, they’re a scam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Service: Dryer repair

I can not believe how terrible this company is. We had a dryer go out, and GE used this company to fix our unit. They came to our house and tore apart our dryer and had us order a cable, which definitely wasn't the part we needed. They had zero communication and didn't even let us know what they thought was going on. We had to find another company to service us due to not hearing back from Johnson appliances.I wish I could rate them 0 stars. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Horrible service. They charged 99 dollars to tell me what was wrong.. which I already knew. Then they leveled my washer...why? the problem was not that it was not level. Reason: they then charged me extra for leveling it and it took five minutes or less. They insisted they had fixed it and it wasn't fixed. I complained so they came back and still did not fix it.Service: Dishwasher repair

I was SHOCKED to see the low reviews for Johnson Appliance Repair! it’s ALWAYS been my experience that it’s a success, and beyond that, a great and experience in every way. I highly recommend them for any appliance repair one may need. I think people who have a GOOD experience aren’t taking the time to leave a review when their appliances are back up and running.Today Aubry was here to repair my dryer that quit working after having a mattress cover get stuck between the barrel and the frame. He’s been here before, at least once to repair an ‘operator fail’ on my part.Aubry was gracious and kind, respectful and professional. I knew the moment he appeared that I was in good hands. Johnson Appliance Repair is like the hardware stores of fifty-years ago. They recognize you, they help order repair parts as needed, and as a homeowner here in Duluth for over 23 years, I would never call anyone else.Ignore those low reviews if you need to call a trustworthy vendor, and call them to get your work done. I would give them negative 5 Stars if I could. Had a factory repair for a GE product and they got fired after a month. The only phone call I received from them, was after they were fired from the job. They tried to pretend that they didn't do anything wrong. Made an appointment, took a day off of work, and no one showed up. After I brought it to their attention, the receptionist yelled at me for their mistake??? Serious problems, mental health issues, poor management and systems, worst communication experience of my life. So bad. They should really close their business.

A honest review, the crabby repair man walked into our home, told my husband to put on a mask, spent 10 seconds diagnosing our dryer, told my husband to buy a new washer & charged us $90. He spent more time writing down the credit card number than providing any customer service, any help. I'm guessing that is how they make their money these days, without young employees & parts back ordered. He wasn't wrong, we did need a new washer. I have used Johnson's Appliance Service in the past, but I will never use their service again.

Terrible customer service. Have tried to schedule service twice, once through the appliance store that we got our washer from and then once through the manufacturer since it is a brand new machine. It probably is a good thing they never got back to us since clearly they just scam you if they do come out.Service: Washing machine repair

I have used them for numerous repairs because they are apparently the only company certified to repair certain brands. Stopped using based on previous experiences and lack of customer service. I had to use them again as they were the only one that could service a True brand refrigerator. During the install they completely scratched and damaged our cabinets. I tried to give them the opportunity to make it right before posting this review. 2 month later and nothing.Services: Oven repair

Paid $85 for a service tech to come look at our washer. She diagnosed the problem, told me she'd order the part and that it would be in within three days. Little did I know that was the last I'd hear from her. And every time I call the store, she's in a meeting, but they'll get her a message, I'm told. I don't know ... maybe she doesn't even really exist and I imagined the whole thing. But then the cashed $85 check suggests otherwise. What a roller coaster of emotions this has been!

Worst customer experience of my life. The first tech lied about the damages and only informed me of one of the many issues with my oven. I invested $400 into fixing it, it worked worse after the “fix”. Then another tech tells me the first guy was wrong and it would cost another 400+ to fix more parts. I called and the manager was unavailable for MONTHS. They dragged their feet after promising to refund me if they retrieved the original part until the oven was taken away and I got a new one. They will rob you and provide bad service while doing it.

Highly recommended if you like poor communication, poor customer service and an appliance that will more than likely not function any better after they’ve completed the “repairs”, if they in fact ever complete the repair as they wait weeks to order parts without informing you. Not even an option to pay for expiated shipping is given.
