I saved my son the time, thankfully, in bringing his sport coats to the Mequon store on their same-day only Wednesday buying. There were about a dozen classic sport coats Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren, etc. I waited in the store, as is required, for over an hour. In the end they offered about $11 in trade credit for all but 5 of the coats (that equates to $150 per). An insult to say the least! In my hour browsing the store, I couldn't even find anything to purchase using the nominal credit. Unless one is looking upscale, the majority of their merchandise isn't worth purchasing. My son would have been beyond angry for having wasted his time for nothing!! In the end I left the remaing sport coats for them to donate. Anyone itemizing their taxes would be better off donating and taking the tax deduction. NEVER AGAIN!! I have taken my own things there previously and thought they were getting very tight with their payments and questioned if I'd bring anything there again. This latest escapade only solidifies my thoughts. I'll find somewhere else, maybe Boz's.

Great employees who are professional, kind and helpful. I always find the most unusual items at their stores. It's a great asset to the community.

I took a bag of clothes and purses to the store on a Friday, a day noted on their website to be a day you could bring items in to get a quote. The first person I encountered behind the desk told me today was not a day they were reviewing items and giving quotes. I commented that the website said Thursday - Saturdays were day to bring things in. She responded in a rude manner saying that was not the case. After a short conversation she finally mentioned I could leave the items there but no one would look at them for 2 weeks. Once they were reviewed I would get a call to come in and take a check or store credit. When I was notified my items had been reviewed and that I had to come in within 2 days (really, it takes you 2 weeks and I get 2 days). I did just that and was told they were only offering "trade credit" and a check was not an option given what I brought in. Everyone woman that I have met at the Mequon location is very off-putting, act like they don't want to be there and just not nice at all!! I took all of my things back and will donate to Divine Consign or Goodwill! I will never walk into that store again.

I with LIZ K below. They text me to pick up the stuff they did not want. I had hours to get there that day. I came the next day and was told I need to come Thursday thru Saturday. I did but they say I was too late. They keep 2 items but they could not tell me which one. The others were donated. They wanted to give me $12 credit but I had to get it now or a specific time in a week or so. I told them where to go. I'll never go back. Zero stars.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I dropped off a basket of items to sell. They had me sign a contract and gave me a window to come and view my offer two weeks later. Those two days passed and I wasn't able to stop in. I came in a few days later to find that they had "DONATED everything they didn't choose to keep." Including the basket I brought it all in with! Unreal! The sales person kept recycling her talking points about how it's my responsibility to come in during the hours of 10-5 on those two days. I asked her if others had complained about this and she said others have. I suggested that she consider alerting people to this policy separate from burying it in a lengthy contract. Beyond all that, she didn't even offer an item inventory. So, for all I know, they stole all my stuff and gave me some lousy in store credit I'm too furious to ever use. What a racket!

Fifth-Main is the BEST resale shop for women’s clothing in the entire metro area! They also have a few nice men’s items as well. I visited the Thiensville location today and had a wonderful experience. The customer service was top-notch. Carrie helped me select clothing and gave me her honest feedback. She was so professional and a positive, friendly person to every customer in the shop. I walked out with an armful of deals and cannot wait to try my new clothes!

I found a cute purse that I just had to have, my assumption was that the shoulder strap was in the dust bag inside. It was not. This was discovered while still standing at the checkout and the girl still had my card. I told her that I no longer wanted the purse as it was not complete. I was told that the transaction had already gone through and couldn't be reversed. They would not accept a return, I asked for a manager and was told the same thing. Absolutely atrocious behavior for a business; I hadn't left and returned I was literally still standing there and hadn't even received my credit card back yet.

My experience was incredibly awful. Furthermore, the level of wildly inappropriate feedback on a poor reviews speaks volumes. How about instead of attacking the given reviews, run your business in a more professional manner. Reviews are your opportunity to do better and be better. Maybe running a business that involves customer service is not for you. Good luck tanking at your new Port Washington location.

I love shopping at “my stores” that’s what I call them (Fifth- Main) at Thiensville and Mequon; because it’s pretty much the only places I shop. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and it’s so convenient. I just love everything about it! Good prices and deals. I always find something! I love Mary and Sam! So sweet. Thanks for that!

So thrilled with this place. Have been struggling to find just the right top for a luncheon with old school friends who I haven't seen in years. Finally, today, at Fifth-Main I was successful. Wound up buying three LRL tops - so reasonably price. Then, went over to new location in Mequon (gorgeous store) and found a great pair of DKNY flats. Love you, Fifth-Main!

I have been a loyal and ecstatic customer of this store for 4+ years. The inventory is always updated with new, high-quality, great condition clothes, purses, shoes, and jewelry. The stores are well organized and fun to shop. The staff is friendly and helpful. By all means, do shop their new location in Mequon too (especially if you are looking for some great deals on Gucci, LV, Armani and more)...but you really do have to shop BOTH locations because there are AMAZING deals to be had in Thiensville. You can decide to shop here because you're supporting a fabulous, local small business. You can decide to shop here because it's eco-friendly. But most of all, decide to shop here because you'll leave feeling beautiful in your new fashion and proud of your economic thriftiness!

I've tried to give this place a try on several occassions, both purchasing items and selling them. When I've taken items in to sell, there is a condescending way they have of speaking to you. I've taken very nice items in for them to buy and have been told the items or the "style" aren't the brand they carry, however, I'd see similar brands and styles in their store. I was concerned it was because I was a woman of color, hoping that's not the case. My most recent experience solidified it for me...I won't be back. It could be I'm not their client base and if so, that's their choice. I will advise anyone considering selling items to them to think about it carefully, and READ THE CONTRACT! I dropped off several items, shoes, dress and skirts, all practically new and nice end brand names. When they emailed me to come in to "hear their offer" I was in the middle of attending to a severe family emergency. The email came through as a ticket to an event. It didn't have their business name on it or anything. I will admit, I was preoccupied attending to my family. I was finally able to stop in about a month after they contacted me and was told they were offering me $21 in the form of an in-store credit, for the items they purchased and the others were donated, per their policy. They were able to show me the policy in the contract, so I can't fault them. It's just unfortunate, that there isn't any flexibility in the case of unique situations. The lady who helped me was very apathetic, even as I explained the situation. Another lady came to the counter, I'm not sure why and just stood there. Niether of them could tell me what they kept and how they arrived at the $21, which I found bizarre. I would think they have to inventory what they buy and the cost. Their business model 100% favors them. If they can't look at your clothes when you come in, they give you a time and day to return and if you don't come on that day/time, they automatically donate your clothes (I would suspect getting a tax write-off). Anything they "purchase" they "pay" you in the form of an in-store credit, so they make money off the money they "pay" you, and what they offer is extremely low compared to what they charge. I guess this is why they've been able to grow at the rate they have. They're basically getting free inventory and making money off of it. I called and left a message for the owner and was told she would call me back the same day...hopefully, I'll hear back.
