Purchased our male Weimaraner puppy 10 years ago. He’s been an awesome family member and is totally attached to my wife. We are considering getting a puppy which I would definitely look at West Twin Kennels.

We recently purchased a blue Weimaraner In Aug. He is wild and crazy yet gentle and smart. He is a hit at the Vet office and got attention from many folks. He was labeled stunningly handsome. We are now starting him on pheasant wings. We had a very good experience picking out our boy and treated well by the Tuesburg's.

I am not one who usually leaves posts. I would rather do something useful. But this review is necessary and useful to those who might try to get a puppy here. Just a few short months after we got our new puppy from this breeder, we are at the end of our rope. The dog is only 6 months old. He has been a handful from the very beginning. Issues include:1) Using his crate as a restroom(almost everyday)2) Inability to house train.a) he would use the bathroom outside on a walk and then come inside to go on the couch or carpet.3) He was unusually aggressive with play, feeding, watering, relaxing.4) He bit 3 of our children unprovoked.5) We worked with a trainer for 2 weeks6) We consulted our veterinarian for advice and recommendations.7) We have spent over $5000 on this dog in just 5 months. The biting was absolutely the last straw. We have small children and they live in fear of the puppy who will still double in size again to 80+ lbs.No shelters would take him because they are full, and we had to report him to animal control. While we were looking for ways that he could still be redeemed, a Weimaraner rescue told us that this puppy breeder has gained a reputation through their rescues and they tend to see a lot of aggressive and dominating dogs from their kennel.Save your money and your heartache. I would strongly recommend against them.

I just can not say enough good about this kennel. Who says you can't buy your best friend? I sure did!Our girl is big, strong, smart, and so eager to please. At one year old she tips the scales at 90 pounds of pure muscle. She's been a breeze to train and does wonderfully off leash, with other dogs, with other kids, even with our cats. She's just about the best family dog I've ever had. We don't have a single area of struggle with her. She's also ways been healthy for us.We can't wait to have another pet from these guys in the future, or perhaps even help with a retired adult. We're just blown away by our girl in every way. Thanks for helping me find the missing part in our family.

Sharing an Email I sent...HI John and Beth,Just thought I would drop you guys a nice note as my Weimaraner Veda (daughter of Copper and Noela) will be 16 yrs. and 4 months tomorrow but unfortunately is nearing the end.She has lived one hell of a life being a great house dog along with chasing many a pheasant (even up until last fall).Veda is a great testament to the genes of her parents. She is a perfect Weimaraner and she has had a beautiful coat for almost her entire life. I could not of molded a better Weimaraner/dog.So just wanted to say thank you for providing me a best friend for 16+ years!

We started looking originally for a silver lab, but I was hesitant on a pure breed as they often have health issues, when I stumbled across the cross breed of the weimaraner with a labrador. West Twins Kennel was the only place in WI breeding the pair and everything that I read on their website showed they cared about the health and well being of their dogs. The reviews about them also gave me great confidence. John was wonderfully responsive to all my questions and sent videos and pictures of the pups as they got bigger. We have now had our weimador for over three months and we could not be happier. She is smart and curious, but not super crazy energetic. She is almost 5 months old now and she is quiet happy to run around for a bit exploring the yard only to settle down on our deck and chill watching birds. Everyone who meets her falls in love immediately and has to know about her and the breed. Our vet is very impressed with her health and growth. She is more than we ever could hope for.

We brought our chocolate weimador home on September 1st, almost 2 months ago and he has been such a joy, the best addition to our new home. Biscot is now 35 pounds and approximately 15 weeks old. He is so peaceful amd smart. He plays with our cats and toddler so gently and always has to be part of everything that's going on. Very very happy with our puppy!!!

We brought our Silver Lab puppy from John back in May 2021. He has such a beautiful gentle nature and he's a good looking boy. We have had no health issues or anything with him. If we ever decide to extend our puppy family we will be going back to West Twin Kennels to get our next pup!!!
