My wife painted our ~4,000 foot home with Divine White. Every now and then, a touch up is needed. I picked up a new can of paint, and my wife touched up about twenty different places in the house. As the paint dried, it was clearly the WRONG color. My wife took the paint back to the store with photos of the faulty color. Despite spending tons of money at Sherwin Williams, they had no record of our prior purchases. So the initial response about getting the wrong color was one of skeptism. Meaning "how do we know you used this paint color in the past? You're just trying to get free paint."
After some reluctance, the person did test the paint and confirmed it was the wrong color. A new can of paint was provided, with nary an apology for a) two trips instead of one trip to the store, b) having to repeat all the touch up work. The final insult is that the store would not accept the faulty can of paint for recycling. It is now our job to take the faulty paint to the dump and pay the fee to get rid of it. AND the faulty can of paint is completely useless to anyone, since who knows what color is actually in the can, aside from some variant of white.
Given the high cost of Sherwin Williams paint, I would have expected better customer service, on multiple levels.
Update: Got the reply below. As you can see, the email address is not correct. Called the number and got another email address to send in pictures, which was kicked back. To top it all off, the second can of paint was worse than the first (see the photo below of the touched up spot)

The Verona team provided a simple service experience for my purchase. I appreciated the option to call in, discuss my previous purchases, confirm the order of an additional gallon to match what l bought in the past. The team was very energetic . In only a few minutes by phone l ordered more stain to pick up the next day, of which, it was ready when l arrived and the checkout process was simple.

Great paint. A bit expensive. Paint out of stock. No small samples free or for purchase. Have to buy a quart “sample” which gets expensive. Consistently understaffed. 20 minute wait even when I ordered ahead of time.

Sherwin Williams used to be my go to store for paint and stain. I always appreciated the knowledgeable personnel and information that was provided. Sadly, today’s visit fell far short of this standard. While the Verona location is convenient, I’m not likely to shop there again.
