I refinanced my mortgage here, but I don't recommend it, especially if your property is titled in a trust. Overall it was a frustrating and negative experience.Despite refinancing elsewhere with no issues related to the trust, it caused a lot of problems here. It took about 3 extra weeks for them to verify it met vague "FNMA requirements", they demanded the full trust language (legally unnecessary, see Wis stat 701.1013), and they also charged me an extra $350 to run it by their own legal department, still never fully explaining why that part was necessary. It felt like a cash grab.I expressed these concerns and was met with defensive posturing rather than a collaborative effort to restore good faith. The bank deflected blame to the underwriter, the title company, their lawyer, and COVID. Being up against the lock period, I had to give in and do/pay whatever was asked, or lose the rate.On the plus side, the other closing costs were in line with expectations (~2,000), and the servicing of the mortgage was transferred elsewhere (SunTrust) without issues. Still, I'd look elsewhere if I had to do this again.

I experienced excellent customer service at First Federal Bank. I applied for the Paycheck Protection Program through First Federal. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful; he responded promptly to my calls and emails. I was so impressed that I moved my business banking account to First Federal which was also an easy transition. Thank you for helping my small business navigate these uncertain times!

This place is great and the staff is amazing. In regards to Matt McIntyre's review, they were open until 5:30 although that recently changed. His negative review shouldn't reflect this business but more the updated information google has on hand.

Hours on their google listing said their open until 5:30 on weekdays when apparently they close at 5. Please fix this.
