This was my third time going here and once again my pet and I were treated with respect. I had to have my dog euthanized but the vet went through all the options if I didn't choose that route. I didn't feel rushed; I felt like the only thing that mattered was my pet's comfort and my feelings. Every employee made me feel like they understood my pain and heartache. I am grateful for their kindness in our hardest night.

Yesterday was our first visit to WVRC with our precious basset. We were met with such a gentle and caring soul- Dr Erin. Thank you so very much for taking such good care of our girl and getting us on the right track to recovery. Our visit to WVRC was a great experience.

Incredible experience with this hospital given a not-so-incredible situation. I brought my husband’s family’s dog, Cyrus, in to get end of life care and the staff was so wonderful to my sister-in-law, me, and most importantly, Cyrus. He got a wonderful last meal full of peanut butter, marshmallow spread, chocolate, and chicken. The nurse walked us through the entire process, being as delicate and understanding as possible, and made a sad process run smooth comfortable for Cyrus. We were the last person he saw when he went to sleep, and he was peaceful when he left. Can’t thank the staff enough!

Normally I would have recommended WVRC in the past, but after my phone call conversation with one of the very rude receptionists, I'm going to think twice. In the past i've always been greeted with kindness and knowledgeable answers. I have called MANY times to ask questions if I should bring my dog into them because he got into some different type of food that I googled and saw it was toxic to the animal, in the PAST, I have never had a problem with those questions being answered. Just last night (11/7/23) I called because my dog had gotten into some sauce where the ingredients had garlic and onion listed - I frantically googled if that sauce was toxic and found out that those ingredients were. I called WVRC looking for some recommendations on what I should do or if I should be worried and instead I was given "Well, I can't answer your question because I don't know the answer. I'm not a toxicologist." I wish I would've caught the girls name when she answered, because the amount of disrespect and attitude that I got was not warranted at all. She then proceeded to tell me that it is illegal for her to give me any medical advice over the phone as well as the vets in the office because they aren't toxicologists. - Still don't understand how that makes any sense, seeing as I called WVRC about 2 months ago because my dog got into some other type of food and I was given advice, things to look for and recommendations on treatment if it got to that point. Instead I called ASPCA and got my question answered with kindness, compassion and a lengthy directions. Very, very disappointed.

Wvrc has helped my cat for the past 10 days after he was poisoned by vitamin d. He knocked the bag of vitamins down and I had no idea they were toxic so I left him be but when he stopped eating I quickly called there and they said I needed to bring him in immediately and contact poison control. All of the vets, front desk staff, and all of the vet techs were rooting for my boy for the past 10 days. I got calls and pictures anytime I ask for them almost immediately. It was actual genuine caring too, not that fake stuff that some vets give you. They truly cared about my boy and wanted him to pull through. Dr Lane and Dr Fisher were fighting so hard for my boy. Today, when I had him put down after we had exhausted all possible ways to remediate the issue, I looked up while they were euthanizing and Dr Lane was just bawling because she loved my boy so much like her own animal. This place is a wonderful place and I owe them so much for trying to save my boy. Thank you guys so much for caring deeply.

Amanda was extremly helpful with answering our questions in regards to my sons puppy! Even though it was 10pm she was very friendly and informative and made us feel welcome! Everyone here was amazing but there is something about her personality and the way she made us feel welcome that makes her stand out above the rest. Thank you amanda!

This is our second time going to this ER vet within a month. The first time- was very pleasant. We loved the vet assistant and doctor. They all loved on our 1 year old cat and made sure he was doing okay. This time, was very different!-We got there around 6:30 ish. Called before stating the symptoms we had at the previous time we came. Some didn’t get better so they decided it was best to bring him in knowing what happened before.-Waited about 30-45 minutes which wasn’t an issue due to them being somewhat busy. When we got in the room. The assistant went over everything with us and told us a doctor would come in and talk about what we can do. She said she would take him in back to do vitals. Well it didn’t seem like they were doing vitals. Our cat was in the back for more than an hour. Mind you there were dogs in the back screaming high pitch and lots of noises. Our cat doesn’t like that. I just didn’t like that they took him back so fast knowing they weren’t going to do vitals right then and there. They could have kept him by us so he was comfortable until they were ready to do what they had to do. Again waited more than an hour to do just vitals.-SOMETHING NOT TO MISS! During this time, someone from their team called us stating they had information about our cat and if we were back at the ER. We stated we were still here and then they said I thought you needed to take your kids home. I’m sorry what? So you don’t know who this cat belongs to?-The doctor comes in, all rude and basically tells us what we have to do instead of what we can do. She wanted him on the same mediation they put him on the first time-hence why we are here again. When I asked her a question about a normal vet she looked at me all weird and said “well the vet can do whatever they want” with an attitude. Just made me feel stupid for asking questions. As someone who is scared for her cat, a doctor should try and relieve that worry. She didn’t.- After deciding on what to do, she was going to finalize everything and bring the mediation and probiotics to us. They kept our cat back there till they finished everything. We just wanted our cat. I am not sure if all ER vets do that. We barely saw our cat during this 4 hour visit. He just looked so scared.- I normally don’t post stuff like this, it just felt like one thing happened after another and nothing was getting better.

Early summer 2023, at 10:00pm we realized our 18 lb mixed mut little girl "karma" had eaten an entire 3.5 oz dark chocolate bar..! WVRC was amazingly quick to respond and compassionate to our little one. They do take serious situations first, and I apologize for those that may have needed to wait. But our little Karma is alive and well thanks to these animal lovers. This team works well together never knowing what the next minute will bring them. Big thank you for your professionalism.

Recommend!! I have needed to rush one of my dogs to WVRC twice due to her heart condition. Unfortunately, we lost her the last time. But all of the staff, techs, and doctors were so kind and wonderful to work with. I know they did everything possible for her, and they kept me informed along the way. They were compassionate and caring.

Took my dog in for an emergency visit waited at least 45 minutes before anyone seen us. Mind you if there were two other animals getting worked on ahead of us. Told them we wanted an X-ray done. Waited 45 minutes. Then the place gets packed full of animals. I ask the front desk how long does it take to get an X-ray . They said oh we got busy it will be at least 1 more hr to 3hrs. Needless to say we left very disappointed. Seems they have more office people than vets. I will be taking my dog to somewhere else yet tonight or tomorrow.

I highly recommend this amazing Veterinarian hospital if you are in need. We had an unexpected crisis situation and my beautiful little Stella was in dire need of help. WVCR literally opened their doors and hearts to help my precious dog. Unfortunately, Stella didn't make it back home with her family that evening but the entire team at WVCR were comforting, understanding and even sent a sympathy, handwritten card to our family. It was so appreciated! Thank you WVCR. Moreno family

We rushed our 3 year old lab Bruce here on Friday early morning and he stayed until Monday afternoon. Every single person, from the front desk staff to the techs/ nurses, and doctors were kind, caring, compassionate and informative.Bruce was diagnosed with addisons disease and was in an addisonion crisis when we brought him in. From everything I’ve read, this is rare and can be difficult to diagnose. Bruce was diagnosed properly within 6 hours of being brought in. I credit the staff here for their quick diagnosis and treatment, without which I don’t know if Bruce would have survived. While we hope to not find ourselves in an emergency situation again, WVRC will be our go to if it ever comes up again.Thank you to each and every person here who cared for Bruce, gave him love and got him home to us.

The staff here were amazing. Our 1 year old miniature dachshund was having a severe reaction to one of her vaccines. Her face was severely swollen. My fiancé met me there as I took her in and she received immediate attention and they took such amazing care of her. We were so scared, but the staff was so nice and reassuring! Thanks to them my baby is doing much better!!

They were very kind and understanding when we brought our dog Star in with paralysis. Dr. Fischer was really good with us at a difficult time when we realized that our beloved dog needed to go to sleep. Olivia at the front desk was also very caring.

Went there with a very sick and dehydrated dog. Our regular vet recommended to get him in there.First day arrived at 6:30PM. Tech took vitals by 6:45PM. Was in the room until 10:30PM. We left. They said they could not tell us how long it would be.Went back the next morning and arrived at 6:30AM. They said the Dr was with another dog and should not be long. The tech took vitals by 6:40AM. 10:10AM the Vet finally came in and took our dog to another room.At 11:00AM they said they had an emergency come in it may be a little while. We were there until 1:45PM!Took blood, X-ray and gave anti vomiting meds. $1,100 and told they found nothing we should come back for an ultrasound.Next morning call them to tell them he now has horrific diarrhea. Can they give any medication or recommend something to help our dog. They said you must bring him in. I said I have spent over 11 hours this week of ours lives there already. Call our vet. They said give him 1 T plain yogurt everyday. Keep giving him bland diet and have them write an anti diarrhea prescription. They would not do it.Greed. I’ll avoid going there.Call before you get there.Try to see your vet first.
