I've had services here a few times, and the provider, Jess, in Wausau was amazing. She listened to my questions, and made sure to ask follow up questions when she had them. They also helped me enroll in a program that covered all of my services at no cost. I'd recommend others try Healthfirst

I've been going here for years. But I can not say how much I regret it. Back in September or so I went in for some bleeding I had. Everythings was normal after the pap. They said I "might" have a yeast inffection. They proscribed the some antibiotics. As I took them I had diarrhea for months! It ripped me of all my good bacteria and I was left to figuring out how to save my self. One ER visit to 6 hospital appointments later I had a infection in my stomach. The worst pain I've gone through in my life. I am still struggling til this day with the amount of pain I am going through. I'm on a diet to kill the bad bacteria in my stomach. Please please please do not listen to a nurse practitioner. See a real doctor before taking antibiotics. Don't allow people to just guess what is happening to your body. These nurse practitioner told me they don't know themselves and that just to take it and see if it helps? Your not supposed to take antibiotics with a yeast infection!!!!! Health first is amazing for the birth control but other things like proscribing antibiotics is the worst. I no longer go there anymore. I go to the Stevens Point one instead.

Although they finally removed my iud. I felt unheard by the provider. Telling me I was untrue about how long I had it in. Also not being heard when talking about my health history. On my second visit I just didn’t argue. I was in pain an needed the Mirena finally removed. I am happy with my decision not to get another. I will NEVER have to go through this again. I thank god. I suggest anyone in need do what they have to, don’t feel bullied, you’re not alone and thank god when it’s over. Maybe travel if possible to a provider that’s coherent and communicative. The providers in Wausau seem to lack in the providing part of healthcare.
