It has been 20 years since I was last at Camp Phillip, I remember as a child enjoying the fellowship and opportunity to grow in faith and friendship while enjoying Gods beauty in the woods and prairies, I remember days of team building, devotion, and outdoor activities.
Thank you!! Camp Phillip Staff 1998-2003

My kids have gone to Camp Phillip since 5th grade, and my daughter is now a Junior Staff member at age 16! It's a fantastic Christian faith building opportunity.

The best place to go and relax in creation and find renewal in Christ. Beautiful property, well maintained, loving and servant hearted staff, and lots of great things to do. Send your kids to the camp, come for a family weekend, or just book and campsite and relax. This place is the best.

An energizing unforgettable experience my kids are begging to return to every year. The camp has a beautiful location with caring staff and Christ-centered immersive camp experience. Specialty camps, younger kids camps, teens, and everything in between. So many things to love: Ropes course, disc golf, swimming in the lake, camp fire experience and story time, team work and bonding. The closing camp wrap up, cannot be missed. I've never seen a group of kids and staff try to sing the roof off a building before- but they sure tried! The joy spilling out of that room, singing praises to God moved me to tears...and THEN they sang the Angel song. ? ?

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Phillip. We arrived and stayed during the week so they didn't have any events going on and we were basically the only people in the campground. The property was nice and quiet. The kids loved the fun playground! My favorite part was the free laundry facilities and very clean shower house/bathroom! They even had a drinking water jug, microwave, and coffee pot available for free usage. Ice and firewood are available. The only complaint I have is the check in office didn't give me any information besides my campsite number. Being a first time visitor, I would have expected them to let me know where to find everything, what they had available for us to do/explore, maybe check out procedures, etc. I had to ask for them to show me a map so I knew where I was going and the woman seemed irritated that I asked. Overall, it was a good experience.

First of all, I want to give the staff 5 stars. We volunteered to work in the kitchen as our kids were at camp. The kitchen staff were great. Mark and Lucy were very kind and professional, Jake, and Elliot were fun and made dinner prep go smoothly and Jacob was all business and super helpful. Fair warning though, working as a volunteer, in the kitchen is fast-paced and no joke! Absolutely hydrate. ITS HARD WORK!! The family cabins are minimalist and rustic. We tried to prepare for the hot weather by bringing our own portable A/c but there was absolutely no way to place this unit using their side-opening windows. It was well over 85 degrees and once it cools off at night, the cabin remains warm until morning. The foam mattress also heats up the longer you lay on it. We asked if they had a cool space for us and they put us in a air conditioned apartment basement offered up by staff members ELI AND KASANDRA. This was quite kind. Camp for kids looks like they were kept busy and as cool as possible. They have plenty of staff watching over them. I walked into both boy and girl cabins to drop off something and the cabins were way to o warm for comfortable sleeping. They use fans. It is not enough in 90 degree weather. I would have paid a little more for my Childrens comfort. Night time is a struggle for my kids and many kids. Offering comfort can help attitudes. Camping does not have to mean suffering in heat. My son did not want to return based on the discomfort (heat) alone. I think a comfort-based survey from the kids may be useful towards repeat business. Again Staff gets 5 stars Comfort gets 2 family cabins too warm and campers residence is also too warm. Please buy air conditioners READER: PLEASE DONATE AIR CONDITIONERS I hope you all find this helpful, God bless.
