I made a reservation on February 27 in the late afternoon for a 14 foot step ladder to be rented out on February 28 at 7:15 AM. After making the reservation, I called the store physically to ensure they have the ladder. Per Home Depot associate in the rental department he confirmed that he laid eyes on the 14 foot ladder and it's locked up. On February 28th around 6 AM and we were to pick up the step ladder at 7:15 AM we receive a text message and an email that the rental has been canceled. My Tech is traveling two hours to a job site, and that rental was critical for him to complete his work. So I got on the phone and called the store and spoke with rental associate who was extremely rude and told me they don't even carry it and they've been trying to get it out of their system. Since she was being rude and no help, I asked her that I wanted to speak to a manager and she transferred me to the manager. According to the manager, who tells me different story that the ladder was rented out the night before. I informed the manager that her and her associate both should tell the same story as one of them is lying either they have the product or they don't have the product. Home Depot should teach associates that work in the rental department not to lie to customers Neither of the associates were helpful and the one that works in the rental department was extremely rude like how dare I call and complain. I have a technician who is halfway to the job site and we don't have a rental that is required and the associates were zero help. I had to call another store and my technician has to drive out of his way to get the rental. Now my job got delayed as it took him longer to drive out of his way. I would like to see something happen in regards to the situation because it is completely wrong how this was handled. Your employees and managers lie and on top of it they are rude. Zero resolution or help from both the store and customer service.

Donny was extremely fast with my order and even helped explain to me how the app worked, how to use it, and checked out my order efficiently with a smile! Definitely recommened this Home Depot over others for the employees alone!

I normally don't write reviews but the people working 2nd shift up front all need a raise, they were extremely nice and professional. It was the most positive shopping experience I've ever had in MKE. Two thumbs up.

Picked up an online order. The gentleman on Monday night by loading docks was great using the forklift and took good care loading. Before me he was working extra hard loading 2 vans of drywall. The young lady at service desk helped me find my tool chest and made sure I was helped despite rest of staff not looking interested. Other than that, it is a Home Depot, I am not expecting fancy friendly AceTrue Value type of environment. In short, people were helpful and it had the tool chest I wanted when other stores did not.

I used to really enjoy coming to this location. However lately it seems that employees are more concerned about catching up with their colleagues than doing their job. I’ve waited 10+ mins in the Pro-service desk, multiple employees passed by and not a single one cared to called someone else to help. A few of them were just standing there with their phones in hand.

This Home Depot is one of the worst in the city. Always disorganized and dirty. Website says 30 in stock? Nope, there's only one and it's all beat up. Need accessories? Nope, you can't get there from here. Need help? You're on your own.

I've bought 3 light fixtures at this location in the last 2 months that have been returns put back on the shelf with either missing or broken pieces. They were taped up to look like they hadn't been open but once I get home to put the fixture up I find missing parts or broken glass. Also stock your plumbing section. When you don't have the most basic and common parts in stock it reflects poorly on you. Definitely going to Menards in the future.

BEWARE! Was given a plate compactor rental from the Wauwatosa Home Depot that was not in working order. I went to return it (had to load it back up and drive all the way back to the store) and wanted to switch it out for one that would actually work. Not too much to ask for right? WRONG! I was told that because I did not purchase the scam they call ‘damage protection’ they weren’t able to switch it out and instead I would have to pay for the a new rental which was another $100 on top of the $100 I paid for the original compactor to at did not work. They basically stole $100 from me. In the renters agreement, it states that they will provide the equipment in ‘good working order’, so the Home Depot did not hold up their end of the contract but yet still made me pay. Spoke with a manager who again said that I needed to purchase the ‘damage protection’ for her to do anything for me, despite there being no damage as I didn’t even get to use the equipment! I will never rent equipment from Home Depot again and recommend you don’t either! They will rent you equipment that doesn’t work and make you pay for it anyway! Very shady and unethical business tactics being practiced here!

As representatives of ERO Moving LLC, we had a positive experience at Home Depot. The store had a wide selection of packing supplies and tools we needed. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. The store was well-organized and clean. Prices were reasonable, and we felt we received good value. We recommend Home Depot as a reliable source for moving supplies.

John in paint was very pleasant and helpful, he got me what I needed right away and educated me on paint I brought in. Tay also assisted us at the end. I would recommend shopping at this location!

Two words: HOT. MESS.Trying to get parts for some simple shelving — just need tracks and brackets. Went into the store, they don't have the parts. Told me to order online. So I ordered online based on the inventory shown on the website; all but ONE track gets cancelled and refunded. Still paid $8.99 for one $3 track to be delivered. Called ahead to check inventory of remaining items, was told they would hold them for me. Go in less than 24 hours later, wait 45 at customer service only to be told that they do not have the items.TLDR — If you need anything specific, so literally anywhere else. I'm baffled how a store this big can be so disorganized and poorly supplied. The employees are very kind! But I'm still leaving empty handed, after wasting tons of time and money trying to track down some VERY SIMPLE items. Smh.
