Our cat needed urgent care on a Sunday night. Mayfair got us in and out within an hour (including tests). It was easy to be seen and prices were less than I was expecting.

Did unnecessary painful tests without permission. Don’t go there.

I want to thank everyone at Mayfair Animal Hospital for their help with my cat. Having to take him in in an emergency, I didn't know what to expect. They were so kind and considerate with treating him. They took blood and started him on medications. It was determined he had high blood pressure, was going blind, was deaf and his kidneys were failing. After the results came back, they took the time to explain them to me. Unfortunately, it was determined he was not going to get better. I just want to thank everyone for the help, understanding and compassion they showed me and my buddy. Would recommend Mayfair for all your Animal needs.

Terrible experience. Their customer service has been awful, they were not upfront about our repayment options for surgery, and it was deceiving that the vet made the surgeon sound like he was a specialist when he was not. On top of all of that, after surgery our dog had metal coming out of his arm, twice, not even where the incision was made, which likely caused damage to his elbow. Staff members made jokes about the situation when we brought him in. Unprofessional and untrustworthy environment. We really should have been referred out.

The doctors and staff took excellent care of my kittens during their neuter procedure. They were thorough, efficient, convenient, and friendly making the after care less stressful. Facilities are super clean and the follow up phone calls were a bonus.

It really depends which doctor you get here.Front desk staff are lovely, other employees are all fine.A few weeks ago we brought in our 15 year old dog who couldn't stand and were seen by Shannon Kofoed who was calm, collected, and very helpful at explaining everything. Even though it was a stressful situation and we didn't know what would happen, the doctor was not panicked. She was able to perform the tests and prescribe medication and never suggested our dog would need to be euthanized any time soon - even though the dog couldn't walk or stand!!Our dog bounced back to normal and we brought her in for a follow up visit today and were seen by Melissa Sheth. Our dog was nervous being there and was taken away for an examination. A few minutes later Melissa Sheth burst into the room and hurriedly told us our dog has had two seizures (which she does have from time to time, often from stress) and is being given oxygen and listed off a whole host of other possible health problems she was speculating about (brain tumor, liver disease, heart attack on the way home) and recommended hospitalization and also euthanasia. It seemed heavily implied to me that she considered us cruel for allowing our dog to live.None of it would make any sense to a non medical professional even if it wasn't told in such a panicked way. We said we would not like to have the dog put down. Yes, it was heated. First she said she could refill the medication if she did bloodwork, which we agreed to. Later we were told this could only be done if she was hospitalized. I know she was busy and seeing other patients as well, but that is part of this very important job that should have higher standards. This doctor seemed inexperienced, had abysmal bedside manner and communication skills, and frankly seems to be dealing with some anxiety problems or perhaps just an inability to consider that she doesn't know everything. She refused to refill our dog's heart medication, but kept emphasizing her poor quality of life and in the paperwork continued to recommend "humane euthanasia AS SOON AS POSSIBLE."We have watched two human beings die slowly in recent years and are familiar with end of life care. None of the doctor's recommendations add up. A huge list of 7 things, ending with euthanasia. Why would you do any of those other things if you are just going to kill the dog anyway? She never explained. This doctor knows nothing about end of life care, which I'm sure is under-taught at veterinary school. Also, our dog is not anywhere near hospice level, if we are comparing to humans. She's just old.A very quick euthanasia recommendation after running zero tests!!! Melissa Sheth needs to work on her listening and communication skills. Humans have emotions and thoughts that have to be dealt with patiently. This type of behavior will surely cause some people to make a quick, uninformed decision about their pet's life. I cannot emphasize enough how disgusted I was by this visit. We will take our dog elsewhere. (She is doing fine right now)

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Mayfair Animal Hospital tonight! I rescued a very sick cat and was blown away by the level of service I received. The front desk staff was so friendly and kind, and they even had a phone charger I could borrow! The vet, Dr. Thaw, thoroughly explained everything going on and went over all the treatment options, making sure I was comfortable with the plan of action. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here and this will be my ER of choice moving forward!

The staff (from the doctor to the front desk, and everyone in between) at Mayfair Animal Hospital and ER were fantastic! They were all very courteous, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. They all had our pet’s best interests in mind!I will/would strongly recommend them to all family and friends. One’s pet is a “priceless member of the family”. So, it is comforting to work with an organization like Mayfair Animal Hospital & ER.

Needed to get my cat seen for an infected wound on a Saturday and this clinic was the shortest wait, but ended up far exceeding my expectations. The clinic staff was very helpful in explaining every step of the visit and possible care needed. Really liked the tech and the vet coming into the room at the same time to start the exam process as I only had to give the run down of our problem once. The waiting area and the exam room were clean and spacious . Care was fast and they did great helping out my cat. 10/10 recommend this clinic for any urgent care pet needs.

Do not go here. Was immediately placed in a small examining room and told they were 'slightly behind schedule' and 'maybe a vet tech can see us quick'. After waiting for an hour I went back to the front desk and was basically ignored for 10 minutes until I finally got someone's attention to cancel the appointment. Will not return.
