Edited to add: adjusted review based on Tony’s fantastic customer service. Went above and beyond in explaining fish issues and gave an alternative solution that would end up saving the customer money and create a healthier tank. Guy deserves a raise! Every time we are there he’s always ready to work and very friendly.Staff are all wonderful here and we buy all supplies for our dogs here, however I purchased several fish here last month and within 2 weeks they were all dead. Staff did refund for those. My existing fish which were in a healthy, established tank prior are all starting to die too, including my angel fish :(I know it’s not under the employee’s control but still a bummer and will go to a local fish store for future fish purchases!

I haven't been to any Petco in a while - I usually shop at a smaller store. But I was quite surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff was. They didn't have the brand I was looking for but found a substitute for the meantime.

Great place, helpful staff. Prices are reasonable for a non-grocery/Walmart type store

They were out of the grain free dog food we use found another type that should work and is generally more available. The associate was very informational and helpful.

I cannot emphasize enough; PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANIMALS HERE. I'm the proud mom of a leopard gecko, 4 mourning geckos, and 3 vittatus poison dart frogs. I was getting a container of fruit flies from this location for the frogs, and I was looking at some of the animals for sale. There I found 2 albino leopard geckos with tails the girth of a charging cord. This was probably either malnutrition or sticktail, both of which are deadly to leos. The manager showed little emotion about these sick living beings. If you want a new pet reptile, amphibian, or invertebrate, go to MorphMarket and find a reputable breeder who can ship an animal directly to your door. Not only will you likely have a better outcome, but you will also support local breeders instead of a faceless corporation. You buy from here, you risk bringing animals that will die quickly or bring parasites to your house. I would rather drive to Madison to Reptile Rapture for fruit flies than go back there. This place makes me incredibly sad.

We went in to buy a reptile (gecko) for one of my son’s 12th birthday and Frank was very helpful. 2 days later the tank package we purchased had a lamp that malfunctioned but it was taken care of the same day we called. Frank was extremely helpful and helped us replace everything needed. My 10 year old son even commented on how nice he was and reminded me to write a review today. ?
