i go to the gym in the morning before work, and after work in the evening with my kids.mornings its decent, but in the evenings. theres towels, garbage, and other discarded items on the ground. especially in the mens locker room and showers.its not even a gym, its a cafeteria. food everywhere and garbage.its unbelievably ghetto. you can smell the urine aroma a mile away from the bathroom itself. and if you want to use the bathroom, the floor is so sticky with urine and the smell is enough to burn your nose hairs right off. not to mention the smell in locker room (mens) already smells like sweat and dirty socks and old shoes.its like throughout the day, they dont pay attention to it, and those who go in the evenings suffer for it.the family room changing area for my kids have big wholes in the walls. i just dont know if maintenance cares at all around there.i will cancel my membership.this ymca, in the evenings, can be a tourist attraction for just how ghetto, nasty, and smelly a building can be.i dont underastand how mornings its clean, but they dont have cleaners in day?like cmon, pick up the garbage, and clean the bathrooms.they are so bad you cant even use them without holding your breath. what a shame, should be clean all times of the day, not just morning.

It's a really clean place and the people who work there really are nice and they are also really helpful and so I will keep coming to this one all the time. The lifeguards there are super good and really nice to talk to. The pools and the hot tub are kept really nice and clean.

The instructors are amazing! They really care about the kids and make learning fun. The programs are geared to each age group's interest and ability. The facilities are fantastic. The locker rooms are clean and well organized, even the family one!

Since I'm over 50 I thought I would never learn how to swim. The swim instructors are great especially Joann. When I first started swim lessons it was to get over a fear and to be able to enjoy the water while being safe but I learned so much more than that. I can now enjoy the deep and swim in the middle lane with no fear.

Amazing swim lessons program! We went to another swim school for over a year with no progress with our daughter. After 1 session (8 weeks), she is so confident now! Easily jumps in, goes underwater and is excited to swim. None of this was possible before.

Gave up my West Suburban YMCA membership tonight after learning to swim there as a child and teach for more than 15 yeqrs as an adult. Lots of friends made and a huge community lost with the covid employee policies during "lockdown." My family were members (and employees) since WS opened. Staff fluctuations, lack of activity for tweens have made a family space fun. I sincerely hope other families are able as we once were able!

I cannot in good conscience recommend the summer camps to any parent. Very poor experience, and no response at all on request. Repeatedly dodge calls and emails

Staffed by some of the oldest and crustiest people you’ll ever meet. The gym itself is lacking in too many ways to list, strongly discourage from visiting.

This place has really gone down over the years. No impactful updates or upgrades for the monthly price. Locker rooms smell awful and staff can be inconsistent with information. Parking lot is not secured so park at your own risk! If anything happens to your vehicle it’s all on the owner! Swim classes are ran by young inexperienced people. Just a disappointing experience overall!

I swim with my grandson and he's in swim classes. They have a great aquatics program.

Zero stars should be an option. My daughter went to one of the summer camp programs they run last summer (at Swanson in Brookfield) and it was awful. If she got upset, one of the camp counselors (adult) would LAUGH AT HER (she was 5) and upset her to the point of being inconsolable rather than helping her and understanding that she's a small child and they are the adult. Grow up. She hasn't had any behavior issues at school or another daycare/summer camp. Would not recommend. She didn't have issues at her next summer camp last summer after this one. I decided to pull her out of this one since that place upset her so much. They kicked her out in her final week but I didn't even care at that point because it was traumatizing her and I felt like a bad parent for taking her there.

Great place to workout. Instructors for AOA are very knowledgeable and make classes very enjoyable.

Needed to give the front desk crew and the child watch crew here a shout out. We joined in the winter and they have been so nice to my family and me. Helps me to have good workouts knowing that the kids are in good hands too. Great place, great staff!
