It seems as though after 12 years (oldest rating) they haven't gotten better with their rudeness at the checkout. They get one star due to the fact that they had what I needed and I could guess that they would have it because it's an office supply store. Another star is for the unnamed employee that pointed me exactly where I needed to go when she saw I was looking for my item. HOWEVER, when I got to the front, Kim. Oh Kim. She asked for my phone number for my rewards account. When I told her I told have an account, she obviously wanted to sign me up for 20% off. While money saved is awesome, you know that always comes with junk emails and texts. So I replied "no, I don't shop here often." This woman had the audacity to reply with "well shame on you, you should" and the tone was not pleasant like a joke. I felt the need to explain that I don't need office supplies often enough. I really wish I would have replied with an "EXCUSE ME?!" So no, Shame on YOU, Kim. I didn't shop there often.. maybe once a year... they won't even get that from me.

Staff always helpful and store is always clean. They have wifi which is great because getting a signal in there is impossible. Never crowded so my visits are usually quick.

This store really looks the kind of place that would appear in the middle of a zombie film, you know, a scene at some point after the zombies have taken over most of civilization and humanity is a shell of its former self. Despite that it appears to be held together with shoe polish and duct tape, the staff here were very friendly and I greatly appreciated the quick and free lamination of my COVID vaccination card. I wandered the aisles, trying to find something to buy in exchange for this service, but there wasn't a ton to choose from and I didn't see anything I needed, either. Maybe next time!

Easy-to-use self printing service, in addition to copying.

Worst manager ever! My 14 year-old daughter found a daily planner in the $12.99 bin. She up front to pay and was charged $22.99. She didn't question it further because he started scolding her. When I came up to the register, I told him that he will have to move all the other daily planners. His response, "I'd be doing that all day. People are messy." Pathetic.

If you've ever needed a random (but very specific) paper or such, there's no beating Office Max. Yes, the store is dingy and tired looking. Yes, they are overpriced. But if you absolutely must find a black foam board and adhesive dot roller, and you must find it *TODAY* you can almost guaranty you'll find it at the Office Max. I can't say that the staff is overly friendly or helpful, as we barely saw them while we were shopping. The checkout was quick, but there were only two people trying to checkout.

This OfficeMax isn't bad at all. It's in a former Kohls grocery store just off of Hwy 100 so it's a little inconvenient to get into their lot. You have to turn onto Cleveland Ave 1st. In any case, it's a larger store but seems to be well lit and reasonably well organized. I was able to find what I needed with minimal hassles. Prices are the same as every other OM/OD out there. Service here is actually pretty good - as soon as I walked in, someone asked what I needed and grabbed my printer ink right off of the shelf. I appreciated that, since it can be a real pain to sort through all of the choices. It's not really an exciting place to shop, but this OfficeMax gets the job done.

It's a shame you can't leave zero stars or worse because this place deserves a negative rating. Worst customer service from any store that I have ever been to- the afternoon manager being the worst culprit. I purchased a printer that was listed online as being $40 cheaper. When I asked the cashier to look it up she directed me to the manager who acted like he had to walk up a mountain backwards to do that for me. He walked away talking under his breath rudely. I pulled it up on my cellphone and showed the cashier who said only the manager could help me. While waiting more than 10min for him to return, the cashier explained to me that I needed the store warranty for ... Even though I kept politely refusing it. After I became more blunt in my refusal, she became very abrasive towards me and just kept saying "you can't bring this back then no matter what." After he came back he said nothing just have the cashier a weird hand gesture and she honored the online price. Then I asked her if I could have a bag for my printer because it was pouring down rain and she said NO! I was stunned and she explained that it wasn't worth it because she would have to put one on each side and they wouldn't entirely meet in the middle so it wasn't worth it. I will be contacting corporate because that service is unacceptable. In the meantime I will drive to the next county to shop at their competitors.

I visit Officemax when it is back to school time for their great sales. Last year I really stocked up for school and scouts with all of the great deals. Store is laid out well and items are easy to find. Always clean and the staff is helpful. Easy to run in and get your items and be out quickly, they never make you wait to check out. Would much rather make the drive to this location vs the other "Office" store near my house.

Ah, OfficeMax, you used to send these nice $10 off $50 coupons to me every few months, enabling me to stay overstocked on the nicest pens and papers that I didn't really need... whatever happened? Conveniently located on Hwy 100 in West Allis, this location used to be a Kohl's Food Store, which was gutted but still looks a lot like the store it once was. On a triangular lot at the intersections of Cleveland, National, and 108th St, easy access to the store is guaranteed, but exiting is a bit more challenging, due to the high traffic levels in the area. The parking lot is a lot larger than what OfficeMax needs, and there are always convenient parking spots available. This is a great store to visit in the rain, because there's almost always a parking spot available at the far end of the arched roof by the sidewalk, and that means you're just about underneath the overhang. The selection inside is good but not great. It feels as though they were a little limited on space, as the selection of furniture seems less than at other stores. Still, it's a great location. If you're doing some shopping errands, it's conveniently located near a Target, Sentry, Menards, Ace, and a variety of other stores, so you can get your office supplies without having to drive all over West Allis.
