Located on Main Street in downtown Whitewater, The Book Teller is a locally-owned used and new bookstore and gift shop housed in an old historic city bank. It is a cozy little shop, a hidden gem, and a great independent bookstore. Visitors can browse diverse titles and a plethora of art, textile gifts, jewelry, paintings, and unique trinkets, many handcrafted by local artisans. The space is filled with bright, natural light and color from stained glass ornaments. A main attraction is the old bank vault, now full of mysterious curiosities and serving as a book nook. The shop offers complimentary hot tea or cocoa, comfy chairs, and amazing customer service marked by thoughtful conversation and welcoming hospitality. It is a wonderful experience and the perfect place to find a rare or unique gift. The business also hosts special events, workshops, and a book club.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. While the main attraction is the books, I was pleasantly engaged by the many other things for sale. A plethora of art and textile gifts. Worth visiting! Karen's business is a gem!!
