Honest and reliable. They may not always be the absolute cheapest, but you get what you pay for. That's not to say that the prices are markedly high either - they're always reasonable. Service is completed quickly and accurately. Definitely recommend!

I had a Turbo replaced in my 2013 Buick. No small fee @$1,600.00.The first time I picked it up, we didn't even travel a mile from the shop and had to return the vehicle because it was not working properly. $200.00 more and a new coil, I drove it to Stevens Point as my first trip after the repair. Pulling into Petco, alarms and my oil light began flashing.Zero oil! Never has this happened with this car. We filled the oil and took it to a notable repair shop in Stevens Point. That short trip, and the oil was out again. Mechanics advised that this should be warranty work and was most likely caused by lack of oxygen getting to my engine. They also advised that all hoses should be new with the new turbo, as the increased pressure could cause hoses and seals to fail.In this case it was a seal. Tim's auto paid for a tow back to his shop, cleaned the oil off my engine, and told me it was ready.Driving it the 10 miles home, again alarms sounded and multiple dash lights began flashing.Hintz again towed my car to his shop and replaced the oil saturated belt.I am convinced that had I not received a second opinion, this would have not been warranty work. In fact, Tim said to me, and others, I should pay.The tow driver as well as the Point mechanic indicated that Tim felt these issues were my responsibility, in spite of the fact that my car was working well before the repairs and every time I drive it after my car was in crisis. Because I insisted that the follow up repairs be warranty work, he refused any future work on my car. I am good with that.My lingering concern is the possible damage of all the oil spraying out of my vehicle could have done to the life of my engine.Clearly, they did not test drive my car, or these issues would not have been dropped on my lap every time my car left his shop.I paid for his service, relying on Tim's experience and he told me to "Google it" when I explained the problem was from the work he did on my car. I did Google it, and I also did one better and got a second opinion, and that made all the difference.****************~Response added 10/21/2020I counted on your knowledge and experience to KNOW this is a "common problem" and include inspection and replacement of the crank seal in the estimate and repair, rather than leaving me stranded with NO OIL in my engine. As I said above; you did cover towing, because this was your fault, and because I insisted you get this right. The 30 miles you test drove my car just happens to be what your assistant said she drove it the THIRD TIME I picked up my car.I know this because I asked. Your office assistant said SHE test drove my car and not a licenced mechanic. My check engine light is on after this fiasco.I never suggested the Stevens Point mechanic dug into the problem you created, he said it SHOULD be warranty work. They did however tell me what is common with this repair, explaining that that is WHY new hoses and seals should be part of the repair. He also looked at my engine and confirmed the oil that was sprayed all over. At that time he also suggested the engine was likely not getting oxygen. I have witnesses to the conversation who were stranded with me.You did pay the tow bills from the Stevens Point mechanic to your shop, and again from my home to your shop.I was still COVID- stranded in Stevens Point meaning my options to get back to Nekoosa on that day were limited. My car still blew a seal on your watch, and left my engine without oil setting off multiple warning lights and concerns of permanent damage.Don't forget that when I asked you to make this right, you told me to Google it and take it somewhere else. My car was sitting at your shop and still spraying oil all over! I said I would but expected a full refund. It was only THEN, that you said you would provide the additional service that you ultimately did.I trust that in general, you are a fine mechanic. You did drop the ball on this one though and I do not appreciate the gaslighting.Your response was misleading at best.
