Gone steadily downhill since they opened. The employees clearly don't want to be there (and who can blame them). The store is dirty, the shopping baskets are always filthy, the parking lot is full of trash, and the self-checkout register has been out of order for over a year. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is because I feel bad for the 2 employees who are actually friendly.

!!!DO NOT BUY SPENDWELL CARDS!!! I got scammed out of $90. Awesome. Check reddit, almost everyone has had the same problem.
Also the guys working here are normally fine working separately, but together they're totally unprofessional and rude. They ignore customers while talking LOUDLY about YouTube and videogames. I like those things too, but come on guys, I can hear your conversation across the store...

A very popular shopping spot in Wittenberg. The only thing that would give it 5 stars is if they added level 3 EV charging at the south end of their parking lot. Currently adding high speed chargers for businesses is practically free with government grants.

I shop at Dollar General in Wittenberg a lot. The kid with long black hair needs some training in customer service. I asked him if they had the item I was looking for to which he very cocky said “I don’t know” and tuned and walked away. I felt like saying “you work here don’t you? But I bit my tongue. They were not busy at the time but obviously it was a chore for him to be there and to help customers.

Edited on 4/20/23 -This store used to be a nice place to stop. It's dirty and filled with trash not only their in the parking lot, but all through the store. The bathrooms also look as of they haven't been cleaned in at least a year. Most of the cashiers are painfully slow, don't interact with customers and seem like they don't to want to be there.Previous - Too bad the cashier was too busy on her cell phone when I walked in. Didn't even look up or greet me.

Dollar General is definitely one of my go to stores and I'm usually never disappointed. My fiance are not from the area so we wanted to get some souvenir T-shirts with Wisconsin Logo for the family and friends and they were rather pricey so we had to go with somewhere else.

Everything was easily accessible and fairly clean for a Dollar general or family Dollar type place a lot of times there's stuff on the floors this one was reasonably clean and picked up nothing on the floor for you to trip over or nothing and the cashier was very helpful with finding things that I couldn't.
