Chapparal Campground

Chapparal Campground is a beautiful, clean, and really nice place. It is very family oriented with a friendly staff. The campground is quiet, mellow, and fun, offering large, nice-sized sites with full hookups that allow pets. It is not packed in tightly like some other campgrounds. There are great areas for children, including a swimming pond and a separate swimming hole with free floating toys. Across the street, there is a part with huge inflatables and clear water for kids, with life jackets provided and required. There is also a crystal clear, well-maintained pool. The beach and fishing area is great. A restaurant on site provides food, though it can be hot inside. The quiet side is nice for adults. Amenities include shelters for large outhouses and shower stalls that require a quarter. Golf carts are the preferred method of travel within the campgrounds. It is a favorite campground for many, including multi-generational groups.
