Great place to learn and then make your eat up too. Huge mountain that wasn't over crowded the days we went.

This place is wonderful. Huge skiing area for beginners that offers enough challenges to keep it interesting for the kids all day long but you can trust them to go off on their own and be fine. All the lift operators were friendly and helpful when needed. The beginner lift had a party vibe and it was easy to get to. We visited on weekdays in February 2024 and got there 30-60 minutes before they opened. It was easy to find parking and the line to buy tickets was short and painless.

One of my favorite ski resorts. It's locally owned and operated, still affordable in 2024 with much less crowds compared to nearby big name ski resorts. Their ski school is one of the best because there is an entire beginner area with dedicated lifts for people taking ski/snowboarding lessons.

Terrible visibility, a lot of places to get hurt, not very friendly riders or skiers, employees kind of same way. I wouldn’t go back.

Huge fan of this ski resort. We live in Idaho Falls. It is for sure the best resort near us. I was especially impressed with the variety of the “bunny hill” at Targhee. They gave great facilities for beginners. I have two daughters who started skiing this year. I surprised how much fun my 8 year old and I had doing the small hill for an entire afternoon. They also offer adaptive ski lessons which makes my so happy. My daughter with Down syndrome started this year. The staff is so patient with her and excited for her to have a chance to ski. My older boys and husband are advanced skiers/snow boarders. There is plenty to keep them entertained all day. I also love the patio area + fires. Such a fun environment! Targhee was a great place for our whole family.

Grand Targhee has been on my bucket list for about a decade now. The skiing and location itself does not disappoint. The access to challenging skiing, as well as the ability to find some seclusion were top notch. If I were a local in the valley, I might even justify having a season pass there. However, it saddens me that there's no way I could justify making another trip the GT given the limited access to tickets at a reasonable rate. It accomplishes what I can only assume is their intent: it prices out ordinary everyday skiers that aren't elite enough to withstand $150 per ticket. GT appears to be following the trend many resorts have lately - make it more about becoming a destination resort than a ski area. Look no further than Vail, Created Butte, or Big Sky if you want a picture of what it looks like long-term. The business model will drive out locals and those with less money that are the backbone of the community and you'll be left with a resort that caters to those who value status and wear bognar onesies.

We had a Bluebird day on 2/17/24 and a snowy day on 2/18/24. Both days were great in different ways. We will definitely be going back. Varied terrain for all different levels of skiers. On the clear day I had to remember I was skiing and not just look around in awe at the views.
